Roger Franklin Wins the StatSheet Sun Belt Player of the Week - January 21st, 2013

StatSheet's Sun Belt Player of the Week for January 21st goes to Roger Franklin. Shawn Long from Louisiana has earned StatSheet's Sun Belt Freshman of the Week. Franklin put up 70% shooting, 7.5 rebounds per game, and 20.5 points per game. The North Texas senior put these numbers up in a win versus Florida Atlantic and a loss to Florida International.

Franklin topped all scoring and rebounding for the Mean Green with 29 points and 8 rebounds in a 70-64 loss to Florida International. In the next game he added 12 points and 7 rebounds in a narrow 61-59 victory over Florida Atlantic.

This is the first time this season that Roger Franklin has been selected StatSheet Sun Belt Player of the Week. The runner-up this week is Brandon Harris, a junior from Western Kentucky. Honorable mention goes to junior Augustine Rubit from South Alabama.
