    Kentucky gets the other. ASU has a shot if they win as does SDSU and Iowa. Does TCU drop out after the 2 straight losses? You could make the argument for TxT as well.

    Something I think all these reporters have left out that is very important is that Mason had yet to play more than 3 quarters in a game this season and is still putting up these huge numbers. Not because he was injured, etc but because we have thoroughly crushed our opponents. Imagine his numbers of these were closer games and he had that extra quarter to pad his stats.

    Morris didn’t play Storey because the game was already out of hand. I would bet he already planned to start Storey this week after Kelly’s performance. Why get him beat up in a game that was already decided, where your O-Line had quit, and the opposing D had been swarming all day. Get the young guys some reps. If it was 17-10 or even 24-10 when Kelly threw his 4th INT you would have seen Storey.

    I think this is what pisses them off so much and makes me the happiest. SL called off the dogs at half time and they still couldn’t be competitive “with SEC talent.” My hope is by the end of the season they will look back at this game with us playing in a New Years Six game and be not as pissed of by being beat by North Texas.

    The D came up BIG today. Definitely the most improved unit and dare I say better than the offense this year. And this is a very good offense.

    Who’d have thought after Mac’s 1-11 season we’d be icing a game against a big name P5 team in 3 years.

    I may be jinxing it by posting this but GA Southern has held #2 Clemson Scoreless so far. If they can get their offense going this could get interesting.

    4. Mason Fine- North Texas, QB: I’m including a 4th here because I just couldn’t leave this one out. Fine was the main reason that the Mean Green had been receiving so much offseason love and he showed why in this game.     2002 season opener against UT. I had just enrolled at UNT so this was my first experience as a fan. We may have lost but watching Booger have his way with the UT O-line was a treat (I was never a fan of the shorthorns to begin with). This was a talent loaded team that was fun to watch give a lot of bigger name schools hell.

    From the TV explanation he broke the plain before the fumble. Otherwise I believe we had clear recovery on the fumble.

    Unfortunately Olawale has all but disowned NT. Thank you prior coaching staff. Last MNF game during lineups I think he said his HS or CC not NT.

    He is definitely not as explosive as pre-injury. Same thing on his receptions out of the backfield. That initial quickness that caused mismatches is gone.

    I would hope after a 12 year hiatus the NOB would want us back. We travelled well and had some of their best crowds minus in-state schools.

    If they hire Littrell I say we hire Strong and get him to agree to $1 a season to stick it to the shorthorns ? They still owe him $10.8m only reduced by what he makes at his next job.
