The Mean Green defeated Baylor early on in the season and right now Baylor is tied with Tech at the half. Are we possibly good enough to beat Tech?

I was just seeing if we could get a similar distinction as them. Does anyone know RV well enough to see if he could slide an exemption from the advertising this way? He of all people should realize the benefit of this board in getting more students and alums involved in the athletic programs at NT. I for one have become alot more involved since finding the board last August. If we can get the people that regularly and irregularly go to the games to come on the board and get addicted like the rest of us the Mean Green fever would surely spread to their friends and relatives. There is potential for a symbiotic relationship here if we can get the right people on board.

I really wish I could go. I had a blast at the NO bowl, but I need a job before I can start spending again... OR I could get another credit card. Hmmmm, this plan has potential! *edit* Oh, yeah scholarships?

Like I said, he doesn't get it yet, but he seems to have the potential, the smarts, and the arm to get there.

The Bills still never won though, so as a Best of the Super Bowl they should not be considered, maybe best of the playoffs though... I am going to have to give my props to Jake tonight! If he can keep this up I can see him as a top all time player. Remember the NE D made Payton (who was on a roll) look like Quincy and Jake, minus the fumble, took apart their secondary.

I know Talons is sponsored by the school as a spirit organization. Would it be possible for us to get that kind of distinction where they wouldn't make us pay to put up the banner? It would benefit them more in the end as support grows.

I'm not saying we shouldn't just play pickup, draft at the site, flag football games. I am only saying reserve the tag as a once a year event that could be beneficial to both this site in publicity and the school in building ties between the student, alums, faculty, and players. Speaking of publicity, I was thinking, if a GMG.com banner was made that we could hang in front of where we sit at the BB games would the school have a problem with it? Do we have to get their permission, etc?

I had a blast out there and the BB tailgating was awesome and the game was a helluva lot better than where I had been sitting! I think we should have some kind of gathering every Saturday, but I like the idea of only having the gmg.com Bowl once a year on a set date. It might be a way to get more fans out if we draft earlier next year and go out and practice together before hand, maybe get more UNT players and coaches (bb,fb,soccer,etc) and faculty to participate. I really think this could be a great way to get more spirit spread around the school, maybe even have a *tradition* to look foreward to.

One of my good friends here at NT grew up with him, her older brother was one of his best friends. It was kind of sad because she got the call about it right as we were getting ready to celebrate her birthday. My best wishes and prayers are with his family.

I would be one of those new guys from the last 2 months though I have been following the board much longer, just never registered. My need for football and recruiting news got to me and is killing me. Wish I could get the MGR, but rent comes first. I can't wait for next season! GMG!

QB/WR/CB ... and punter if needed. THE WHITE TEAM IS GOING DOWN!

Alright, I am going to shoot it strait. 6'0" 155 QB/WR/CB I am an ex baseball player with a very accurate arm at QB with good distance and pretty decent power. I also am experienced at running the option which can be an asset as FF is more like non-contact rugby than football. I have played FF in the Rec Sport division each fall that I have been here and have been deep in the playoffs both times. If your looking to plug up holes in your squad think of me as a NEO JC recruit.

Either way its sad and looks bad for both universities.

Sure we can add a women's bowling team, but what title 9 states is that the same amount has to be spent on womens sports and facilities and mens... so thats alot of money to spend on a bowling team... as for baseball, it might be that they are putting together the team and recruiting base starting next year for when we get the sanction (like getting coaches in place to take over when the time is right).

NT held off Baylor in the second half to win 73-69. I wish I still had my teddy bear on a stick to burn from the FB game...

About ULaLa, I remember reading that they had some players suspended at the beginning of the year or something like that and while tracking the game tonight I noticed they only are playing 6 players, when do they get the rest back if at all?

From what I understand we are supposed to get our NCAA sanctioned team beginning next fall... but I could be wrong...

I wanted to be there for tonights game but studying has kept me away. At the half it is NT 32 Baylor 28. Also around the Sun Belt another nice score is ULaLa 40 #25 Dayton 31 at the half. How many times have Sun Belt BB teams beaten ranked teams and how many times and who in the Sun Belt has been ranked if any?
