  1. Doesn’t matter. And also kinda my point. It is a large assumption that Rogers would have won the game at FIU. Earl still left the game with a lead and Rogers was spotted three points and we lost the game. To assume that somehow he would have won it largely ignores that simple fact.
  2. Debatable. So even after spotting Rogers three points , we still lost the game from that second half with Rogers under center. Rogers is the guy at QB but let’s not forget we had the lead when he took over at FIU and then we lost it.
  3. That is debatable. Neigh… it is highly debatable.
  4. Rogers passes seem to be duck-like a lot. But I am really liking this guy.
  5. I had a great conversation with Phil at a family wedding this past summer. The way he spoke of UNT on this podcast was the exact same when we talked. He has such an optimistic outlook for UNT and such a positive regard. It was neat to talk about the Boise State bowl game and a few tidbits. All around great guy. I give him two thumbs up!
  6. How did Morris do in the years at IWU against D1 comp even when that program was no longer door mat?
  7. I'd agree with everything that they said to you... we just haven't found the right coaching staff. We found the wrong one and took us on a massive downward trajectory.
  8. Everyone will have a field day with us. Our score massively hides how bad FIU really is. I expect this to be one of the worst defensive years of unt football history and I expect a new DC at the end of the year.
  9. See the FIU score. We have went from a CUSA champion runner up to the worst program in college football. Last week I heard… just wait for next week. Don’t knee jerk. Nah. Prophet Travis says that the problem is all in the title of this thread. It is an embarrassment. He didn’t inherit a terrible team that we need patience with. And what holes we did have he failed to fill. This is on the AD. Both the current and previous one.
  10. I forgot about that. I can't rank them since they are all so terrible but here are some of the worse losses I have ever seen... '07 Oklahoma - season opener '05 Tulsa '08 Rice '15 Portland State '23 Cal We have lost games with massive margins before... but these particular games took a great amount of ineptitude that didn't even show anything resembling a fight. Care to add anymore to this??
  11. Gloating? Nah. I’d much rather be ridiculous than right. I just think I am more right than ridiculous.
  12. Thats what I am saying. Morris inherited still a much better program than what SL had. So comments like the one you had to reply to is weak to me.
  13. Agreed. The next few weeks will seem like smoke and mirrors. But I don’t think I am confident at all even with the next two games. This looked so much like the ‘15 team at a time when we should never have to look like that again with the portal.
  14. It isn’t gonna be ridiculous if it turns out true. Morris is gonna make me a prophet.
  15. It only took one game to see how big of a disaster TB was for our program. I remember how many of us were saying that after that loss. And I am seeing that same thing here this week. The reality is… we shouldn’t have to pay the amount we pay for someone to give us these results. We should expect an actual football manager to give us something good from the get go and it is reasonable for us to expect them to get it right early. I think we are going to see numerous mismanagement issues by our football manager and it will hurt us badly. those that are saying ‘it is just one game’ are having to put a lot of effort forward to ignore the train wreck we just witnessed.
  16. Is number 5 Texada? Isn’t he one of our ‘leaders’?? I saw him on another TD play before that not even attempt a very makable tackle and let the guy just go right to the end zone. Anyone have that clip??
  17. No, you are right. But we aren’t the decision makers either. We are the fans who get to be the pulse on the program.
  18. We didn’t need but the first game to determine that Benford wasn’t going to be the Saban of college basketball. We didn’t need beyond the Oklahoma game to know that Dodge wasn’t going to be our Saban here. To suggest that a Saban experience is more the norm is something that is quite debatable. Especially with a team that our new HC inherited that wasn’t ‘terrible’.
  19. I’m kinda curious… what exactly have they been doing this past month?
  20. Then this is on our former AD who waited till the end of the season to fire when recruiting starts much earlier these days.
