Truly there is no love lost with how we view Grant. Most of us are merely making light of a coach we love so much. Tech got a good one and I hope he is successful there.

The simple fact is that things like this are a sign of good things from our program. While it sucks, it is what it is and still is a positive sign. if we want to be big dogs then we need to have the support to show it from our fans and alumni. But these steps (no matter how small) are what helps get us there.

Btw, I am convinced that it was Tech that purposely leaked the information about Mac being the new HC to the media. They had to in order to capture some attention during the NiT ship. I don’t blame media for this. I think this was intentional from their athletic department. believing it was just the media to blame is like believing Abou had a family emergency. 🙂

I really want to hear the story on this one. It just doesn't make sense. While I know some things are none of our business... this one just seems really odd. I hope he is ok and I hope he returns. I know they said family emergencies... and while those can very much be true... My time as hall director for one of the athletic dorms has taught me that sometimes what information is released to the public is a far cry from what really happens. In one way, it really is none of our business but in another the mean green family cares.

I heard Grant quotes scripture to his team on the daily.

Hodge could be the Gary Patterson of North Texas basketball. And I would love for us to give him that option. To me, this is a no brainer and the best likelihood of continuing what Mac has established.
