  1. These men are obviously not influenced by NIL. They're certainly not going to be riding the bench here. And they all possess upstanding character, and commitment to only 1 team. ...because they transferred TO UNT! GO MEAN GREEN!!!!1!1!!11! GO TRANSFER PORTAL!!!!!!1!
  2. Oh! I didn't see anything on here about him, but there are so many dudes flying around right now, it's hard to know who committed when.
  3. Uhm... https://247sports.com/player/xavion-brice-46098247/ This page has him as a "North Texas Commit". Am I breaking news??
  4. The P5 transfers are all “depth” guys at their previous stops, so to assume they’re going to come here & be amazing players is hopeful at best. There’s a long track record of guys who barely contribute after transferring here. Fingers crossed these guys are good in Green!
  5. No one said anything about not having to prepare, or "overlooking" us. They don't need to, and if they fail to prepare, or "overlook" us, it'll be their own missed opportunity. Just prepare as normal, and trust their abilities against this porous defense.
  6. I bet every single one of those teams' O-Coordinators, QBs, RBs, WRs, OLs, & TEs have our game circled on their calendars as one where they're going to blow up for multiple TDs.
  7. Here we are, 4 days later... Any update @C Rod? Hoping Coach O didn't drop this receipt, and that he, along with multiple other coaches, including Morris, reached out? If no, and we don't have another big-time, day-1-starter QB signed on ESD (December 20th), I'll be very disappointed in Morris' QB evaluations... something I never thought I'd say.
  8. I certainly don't want to compare this guy to the GOAT, but Jaelon Darden was about that same size.
  9. Did you happen to be at Fouts Field on September 17th, 2005? I was. How 'bout Apogee Stadium on October 10th, 2015? I was. I've seen "worse" with my own eyes. On both of those days, if you would have told me we'd have a 5-7 team with an incredibly explosive offense (albeit more of the same, defensively), I would have been very happy with that. Now... Not so much. Standards have changed. That's a good thing. Now we need the football program to rise up to those new standards. 6 wins is bare minimum. Anything less than that is failure. CCG should be the goal every year.
  10. Knowingly attends school with reputation of having trustfund kids as student population... Gets triggered when someone applies that stereotype to you. ...just roll with it bro. You did well to attend SMU, regardless of financial situation.
  11. Smart to get in early on this guy. Hopefully he develops a relationship with Coach O, Brophy, & Morris. This is where Morris needs to flex the QBs he developed & convince Mr. Griffin he can do the same with him.
  12. Yes. Charlotte resides in our conference. Anything a conference mate is doing is NT football related.
  13. It most-certainly can. But your sentiment is indicative of the new standard we have around here. I like that.
  14. I like these players! Not crazy about the scheme they're coming into. Jean-Louis must believe this scheme fits his abilities though, so I expect him to come in and immediately contribute. He didn't do a lot at IASt this past season, but he was a true Freshman, so it's hard to tell. Langley appears to be one of those dudes who committed, then Arizona decided they liked someone else better, and just cut comms with him. Poor guy. Glad we were able to stay in touch & win him over. He looks a lot like Cam Robertson from class of '22. If he can come in and make an impact like Cam did his Freshman year, that would be awesome.
  15. When Oscar was healthy, he could certainly play for any team in the country. A very tough RB. Not saying he would be a superstar 1,000-yd rusher, but he can contribute for SC. For sure. A healthy Oscar Adaway is not a bench warmer for SC. Best of luck to Oscar!
  16. Tylor Perry has a diploma from the University of North Texas, just like you.(?) He's one of us... Let alone being the hero of one of the 2 high points of UNT Basketball history. Pretty sure Rogers will as well if he's expecting to play next season. But I highly doubt Rogers gets a lot of thought around here after the new year. He succeeded here individually, which was great for him, but his team was not a success, so he likely won't be remembered for much. I have more of an affinity for Riley Dodge than Chandler Rogers. Both transferred out.
  17. I haven't gone to look at what's going on at TX St., but it does seem different. Your example might actually be an exhibit of the point I'm trying to make if Kinne's guys are staying around. If Kinne brought in a bunch of guys, and they all are staying... but the guys Morris brought in here are leaving... that would indicate those guys bought-into Kinne, but our guys did not buy-into Morris.
