  1. I guess I'm confused here. If you mean "the way he left North Texas" to be: a middling, uninspired, .500 coach who has difficulty getting his teams fired up for big games... then yes, I agree. If you mean "the way he left North Texas" to be what some here are insinuating: that he was a bitter/spiteful coward who ran off with cash and didn't express gratitude to fans who were calling for his head, & those who fired him... then no, I don't agree, because I don't think that is entirely true.
  2. He's going to have to do some soul searching first, and make some changes to his demeanor if he's going to lead an entire program again. He certainly CAN. I just don't know if he WILL.
  3. I know I’d be so very chipper & ready to speak highly of my former employer immediately after being fired. Obviously you agree! </sarcasm> I KNOW you’ve been around here long enough to pine for .500 ball like the rest of us were during Dodgeball. You wanna know why we don’t accept sub-.500 ball now? Seth Littrell’s early success. Plain & simple. When he could no longer meet those standards, he needed to go. That doesn’t make him “bitter”.
  4. Oh, definitely not saying having both dudes aren't a plus. I'm just saying this thread is for Zach Evans. Just more of an observation.
  5. I think Coach Gilbert will be a little more important than Coach Cobbs with Bradford. This is his guy. I think having a man who was a guiding light for him while in HS back in his life will be a good thing for all involved (bad for opposing defenses though).
  6. Evans definitely deserves his own thread without needing to chat about Bradford on it. Dude is a shifty burner with more production this past season at Minnesota than Bradford's entire career at LSU.
  7. I used to believe this much more strongly than I do now... between the fumbling of Rogers at the beginning of the year, to failing to even talk to Ken Seals, and now each day that passes with Stone Earle as our QB... doubt is starting to creep in.
  8. Oh Yeah! This guy needs a fresh start. Glad he came home to get it. 2 years with Covid year, right @TheReal_jayD? Also, This, no-doubt, brought to you by:
  9. I didn't see a thread for Mr. Arenas on here, but he definitely deserves one. https://www.kohlskicking.com/player-profiles/miguel-arenas Kohl's Kicking rankings are more reliable than 247/ON3/Rivals/ESPN/etc... as they specialize in kicking. Miguel is ranked the #17 kicker in the class. This guy likely steps in immediately as next year's starting kicker. Welcome aboard Miguel!
  10. That's wild! I got to see Henry a couple times this year. He can disappear sometimes, but when it's crunch time, dude shows up with big play after big play. Memphis got a really nice player.
  11. I think he really chapped Coach Morris when he left. Morris brought his transfer up subtly in interviews several times. He probably knew he wasn't welcomed back. Sad/petty behavior on both sides, as we could certainly use him.
  12. Oh, I have no doubt you & @TheReal_jayD are overwhelmed with names and who's-going-where followings right now. I appreciate y'all's work! Keep it up.
  13. You see, he wasn't flipped. He just was flipped.
  14. I think there's quite a difference in saying "KD 2.0" and "ZO 2.0", VS pointing out that Rod Brown happened to decommit from Army before coming here.
  15. BTW... The last guy who backed out of a West Point commitment to come to UNT turned out pretty well for us! https://meangreensports.com/sports/football/roster/roderick-brown/5922
  16. Same system, closer to home. Hope he shows out here!
  17. Yes sir! Big time pickup! The RB room was looking kinda thin. It got stronger today.
  18. Welcome aboard Kabriel! Just so you know... some guys on here have saddled you with expectations of ending your career here with somewhere between 365 & 425 total tackles. Good luck! We're rooting for you!
  19. I cant compute trying to compare the resumes of Mr. Rogers last year VS Mr. McCollum this year... but here we are. Downgrading one of them severely, and inflating another. I do agree with your last sentence though. And, IMO, that will result in a disaster of a year.
  20. There was a ton of excitement around Rogers when he signed... because he had previous FBS level experience. Most here were drooling over his comp%. I don't believe I had I was only pointing out that yes, in fact, Rogers WAS indeed an "established FBS QB" when he signed, when you said he did not.
  21. Pardon my skepticism. That is an extremely high bar you're setting for this young man. Again, he could be wildly successful here... and not sniff Zach's level of excellence.
  22. This is a nice pickup, and he's going to be a Spring enrollee according to his Twitter, so he'll have extra time to try and crack the 2-deep this year.
  23. Jumping the gun here a little, aren't we fellas? You just compared this dude to 2 of the top 5 All-time greatest LBs ever to wear Green. If he could even come in and be more like Brandon Garner, or heck, even Will Wright, he'd be a HUGE SUCCESS. Let's start there instead.
