  1. Had a pretty decent 2021 season. Not sure if he was injured or something after that, but his production dropped off pretty drastically after that. https://www.espn.com/college-football/player/_/id/4428272/juwaun-price I hope he can come in and regain that 2021 form!
  2. And I like that. She’s showing the loyalty to our beloved Alma Mater that we all hope the b-ball & football guys would. Im just saying (& no, @Mean Green 93-98, I don’t know who would have gone after her since she didn’t enter the portal), if she had jumped in the portal after last years stats, she would’ve been highly sought after by teams who have better odds of making the tournament, and play for a natty.
  3. We have to stop reacting defensively, and tearing down these guys that are taking advantage of the system afforded them. It's not their fault. These dudes aren't like Giovanni Vizza, and bailing/"transferering" when they are somewhat challenged by a teammate. Want to call someone names, or wish them ill? Look that way... to the guys quitting/walking away when the going gets tough.
  4. "I can do just as much here as I could at a Power Five." It seems, similar to last year, we've backed ourselves into a corner & need to win the AAC tournament to make the NCAAs, with our 74 RPI ranking. That likely wouldn't be the case for Kailey if she had taken her .316/16/44 line last year and went to a P5 contender somewhere (like a Baylor, TXTech, or Kansas).
  5. I love the sentiment, and I'm so glad she stayed, but: https://www.instagram.com/p/CkmRO5SJz9L/?img_index=1 ...It's not true.
  6. Fairfield was at 68.9 possessions/gm. A pretty quick clip putting them just outside of the top 1/3, ranking #143. We were at 62.8 possessions/gm. Tied for 2nd slowest pace (#360) after Virginia's mind-numbing 60.8. https://www.warrennolan.com/basketball/2024/stats-adv-pace
  7. St. John's is a top 5 Big East team (a "High Major" conference). They play big home games in MSG. It's a great landing spot for him. He'll get a ton of eyeballs on him there.
  8. We're all feeling the pain pal. Those guys were instrumental to some of the best NT Basketball we've ever seen. Let's just hope these new guys are ready to play, and buy-into Hodge's system right away. If so, I think we can still succeed. It's going to look a lot different though.
  9. Let me help you get a grip on what you're suffering from: https://evolutioncounseling.com/jilted-lovers/ I really hope this helps you.
  10. Was hoping to see Farrar step up this year. Called Bradford once Gilbert left.
  11. With all of the L's the NCAA is taking lately when they're challenged in courts... they'd likely win.
  12. Well, he was certainly in line to be that guy this coming season.
  13. She makes it sound like CJ felt Coach Hodge was not 100%-honest (transparent) with him. I can't imagine that being the case, as Coach Hodge seems to be very up front & open with his players.
  14. That's weird, I guess the most recently completed season doesn't count? I'm sorry Lifer, but everything prior to 21-22 (when Pitino showed up at UNM), and honestly, prior to 23-24 (when Hodge took over at UNT) needs to be removed when comparing the two teams for players who are actually playing RIGHT NOW. Those other programs belonged to different people. When talking about recent success for dudes who are considering playing for both schools, the only thing that matters is this past year and future predictive success (re: momentum). Unfortunately, NT is on the wrong side of both of those factors as of right now.
  15. If you're a basketball player, aren't you more concerned with basketball goings-on, like gameday atmosphere, level of competition, opportunities to play for championships, etc...? Also: UNT finished this past season 19-15 with a NET ranking of 79 (7th in AAC) UNM finished this past season 26-10, with a NET ranking of 22 and an at-large 11 seed in the NCAA tournament as the 6th place finisher in the MWC. Seems like maybe the NCAA tournament selection committee "cares about them". Given the above, it would seem UMN's program is a little more "competitive recently".
  16. I'll miss CJ. Those of you saying it's a "lateral move" have never been to a game in the Pit, or have any knowledge of the overall CBB landscape, with MWC basketball being a very respected conference. They have a rabid fanbase, and I'm willing to bet the bump in NIL is noticeable. The Pit is an incredible facility that I hope NT's new arena will be modeled after. I got to take in the NT victory over UNM back in McCasland's 2nd year. One of my favorite memories of NT Sports.
  17. This is a lot of typing to try and spin the bolded part. 😬😬
  18. psh. I'd rather be Frenchy's Famous than have tons of money. Let's just get these transfers' names on a big orange yard truck off Dallas Dr. and watch all of the 5*s roll in.
  19. A lot of you guys still haven't learned.... Many times, dudes transferring from a High-Major/P5 to NT looking for more PT aren't nearly as good as dudes transferring from a Low-Major/FCS, or even D2.
  20. I guess he wasn't lying when he said he wanted out of his NLI to be somewhere closer to home. Not sure what his home situation is like (maybe he has family that needs help?), but UCA is much closer to it.
  21. Honestly, after I read this, I chuckled because... no way. Then I thought about it a little bit, and I chuckled again because I agree. Then I thought about it some more, and I began sobbing.
  22. Probably saw what he had to work with, then started weighing his options.
  23. There's no salary cap structure out here in the Wild Wild West of NIL.
