  1. McCasland is not going anywhere. He is in a good spot at UNT. The only issue is unt will have to upgrade their basketball facilities to compete for the best recruits in C-USA. Also I wonder if Grant’s style of play becomes a hindrance in recruiting as well.
  2. What hurts is they were so young and had such bright futures ahead of them.
  3. I don’t sense we have even begun to deal with the ramifications of this loss. We will have to go through some things to get through this.
  4. He has a much easier path to getting there as well.
  5. God help Us if we lose him. We must do everything possible To retain him.
  6. New Orleans Saints linebacker Craig Robertson announced his retirement today from professional football. "Craig was a fantastic player, leader and a consummate professional throughout his time with the New Orleans Saints," said Saints Executive Vice-President/General Manager Mickey Loomis. "When he arrived in 2016, Craig instantly became a leader in the locker room and was well respected by his teammates and staff. It was a pleasure watching Craig's passion, toughness and leadership ability on the field, in our locker room and in our community. We thank him and wish him, his wife Brittani and their children all the best in their future endeavors." "I remember Craig first joining us in 2016 when I was entering my first full season as defensive coordinator," said Saints Head Coach Dennis Allen. "Craig was everything that you look for in a player, smart, hard-working and versatile. He poured all of those attributes along with his God-given talent into our building every day, providing the leadership a coach needs for a young defense to build. Craig also had that same impact on our special teams units, which also continued to build with his hard work and leadership. I congratulate Craig for what he achieved in his NFL playing career and thank him for his contributions to the New Orleans Saints." read more: https://www.neworleanssaints.com/news/craig-robertson-new-orleans-saints-linebacker-nfl-retirement-announcement
  7. I hear where you are coming from but wouldn't having a baseball team attract attention to the sport and potentially new donors? Not meaning to make a statement here just an honest question.
  8. You’re right I probably could have chosen better words. I meant to say our road got a lot harder.
  9. Well guys it’s pretty certain we just saw our NCAA tourney bid go down the commode last night. Ugly game! Are we a lock for NIT? Hope so. Am I alone in feeling really down today?
  10. God bless you David and yes RV I appreciate your efforts as well. Is it just me or had RV's continuing dedication to UNT been inspiring?
  11. I agree that the schools who are bolting have no interest in hanging around in a lame duck for the next 3 years. I am assuming that their respective legal counsels determined they have just cause.
  12. It's the Alamo all over again. It really brings tears to my eyes. Volodymyr Zelenskyy is basically a modern day William Travis. Putin is Santa Anna.
  13. I am stealing this topic from another poster, namely @NT80 but I thought it would be interesting to see where our fanbase stands. If you were to compile a listing of the top 5 items needing to be addressed with UNT athletics what would it be. 1). Football - underperformance given the resources and salaries/facilities 2). Baseball - The next time I have someone tell me that we can't afford baseball I think I will puke. How does La. Tech and nUTSAck? 3). Athletic Center - It is too small and too hidden away. Needs a major expansion asap. 4). Basketball facility - This could be either a new facility on the Eagle Point side or perhaps a revamp of the Super Pit which BTW looked absolutely fantastic with 8500 peeps in it. 5). Academic/Career support staff and building - we need to have a place for all of the athletes to get tutoring and academic/career advice. SMU is a good example as they tell their recruits we will be there to help you navigate your career path for life. The AAC is a huge step up, especially in terms of budgets, facilities, academic reputation and support. Wren has to formulate a new 10 year capital plan to address the future of UNT athletics.
  14. He’s a ⭐️ he ought to be named the conference freshman MVP
