  1. 1. Randy Travis - guy is a legend and tremendous talent. Really created a stir at the last game he attended and would love to have him on the courtside again. 2. Mean Joe Greene - I get that he is a football guy but he is a cultural icon and it would be great to have him back on campus. 3. Patty Cobbs - Hey it's St. Patricks day and I couldn't leave out our favorite alum and coach. Plus he has that big smile that does well on the big screen 4. Michael Williams - Love seeing Dr. Smatresk but would also like to see the new Chancellor 5. Cynthia Izaguirre - The channel 8 broadcaster is a proud alum and would guarantee some good local TV coverage of the game 6. RV - would love to see RV down on the court again seeing all the success he built for us. Feel free to add or subtract as needed.
  2. Has Trey Siggurs received a medical redshirt?
  3. My god he just made a full court shot!!
  4. I have a bone to pick with McCasland and more specifically Ross Hodge. We are not good at defending the 3. Why is that?
  5. Any chance he may consider transferring down I35 north?
  6. Bottom left region Oklahoma is the highest rated team in KenPom’s efficiency rankings to miss the NCAA tournament. The Sooners finished just 18-15 in head coach Porter Moser’s first year, but there’s plenty of talent here led by guard Jordan Goldwire and center Tanner Groves. We’ll take Oklahoma over Missouri State, setting up a matchup with Colorado, who we’ll pick to defeat Saint Bonaventure. Give me the Buffs over Oklahoma in the second round. We’ll pick Virginia to beat Mississippi State on the bottom half of the bracket, and then go with Texas State over North Texas. UVA will beat Texas State to set up a matchup with Colorado. Did you really think we’d pick against Tony Bennett? The Hoos are our pick to make the Final Four in the NIT. Top right region SMU lost a heartbreaker to Memphis in the AAC tournament and didn’t get an at-large bid despite finishing 23-8 overall and 13-4 in conference. With a star guard in senior Kendric Davis, the Mustangs should advance easily past Nicholls in their first game. We’ll take Washington State — powered by a long, athletic, and young front line of Efe Abogidi and Mouhamed Gueye — over Santa Clara. SMU over Wazzu in the second round. Saint Louis has a brilliant point guard in Yuri Collins — who is No. 3 in the nation in assist rate. The Billikens should have enough to get past MVC star A.J. Green and Northern Iowa. We’ll take BYU over Long Beach State, and then expect Saint Louis to knock off BYU. Give me SMU over Saint Louis to reach the Final Four. The Ponies just have so much experience with five senior starters and should have enough perimeter defense to advance to MSG. read more: https://www.sbnation.com/college-basketball/2022/3/14/22976370/nit-predictions-bracket-wake-forest-virginia-xavier-smu
  7. Coach Mike White’s sudden departure for Georgia leaves Florida searching for another coach in a high-profile program during the span of several months. Athletic director Scott Stricklin opted for a rising star from outside the Power 5 to hire Billy Napier from Louisiana to replace Dan Mullen in football. The same approach seven years earlier by Jeremy Foley produced respectable, not earth-shattering, results under White, who left Louisiana Tech for Gainesville. His Gators reached four straight NCAA Tournaments before missing out Sunday, yet never seriously contended for an SEC title. Under White, UF was 142-88 but also 17-20 in March. The 45-year-old’s exit with five years remaining on his contract gives the program the chance for a reset. — McCasland is 178–81 in eight seasons as a head coach, including five at North Texas. The 45-year-old is a former point guard at Baylor who has four 20-win seasons at North Texas and coached the Mean Green past Purdue as a No. 13 seed during the 2021 NCAA Tournament. read more: https://www.normantranscript.com/region/uf-ad-scott-stricklin-could-go-many-directions-replacing-mike-white-as-gators-coach/article_7b406b4d-bdd2-52b8-b9e8-b87a9a8f38d4.html
  8. I’d have JJ back but not over Grant or Ross. He would be the next in line though. He was very good here.
  9. McCasland is not going anywhere. He is in a good spot at UNT. The only issue is unt will have to upgrade their basketball facilities to compete for the best recruits in C-USA. Also I wonder if Grant’s style of play becomes a hindrance in recruiting as well.
  10. What hurts is they were so young and had such bright futures ahead of them.
  11. I don’t sense we have even begun to deal with the ramifications of this loss. We will have to go through some things to get through this.
  12. He has a much easier path to getting there as well.
  13. God help Us if we lose him. We must do everything possible To retain him.
  14. New Orleans Saints linebacker Craig Robertson announced his retirement today from professional football. "Craig was a fantastic player, leader and a consummate professional throughout his time with the New Orleans Saints," said Saints Executive Vice-President/General Manager Mickey Loomis. "When he arrived in 2016, Craig instantly became a leader in the locker room and was well respected by his teammates and staff. It was a pleasure watching Craig's passion, toughness and leadership ability on the field, in our locker room and in our community. We thank him and wish him, his wife Brittani and their children all the best in their future endeavors." "I remember Craig first joining us in 2016 when I was entering my first full season as defensive coordinator," said Saints Head Coach Dennis Allen. "Craig was everything that you look for in a player, smart, hard-working and versatile. He poured all of those attributes along with his God-given talent into our building every day, providing the leadership a coach needs for a young defense to build. Craig also had that same impact on our special teams units, which also continued to build with his hard work and leadership. I congratulate Craig for what he achieved in his NFL playing career and thank him for his contributions to the New Orleans Saints." read more: https://www.neworleanssaints.com/news/craig-robertson-new-orleans-saints-linebacker-nfl-retirement-announcement
  15. I hear where you are coming from but wouldn't having a baseball team attract attention to the sport and potentially new donors? Not meaning to make a statement here just an honest question.
