  1. Uhhhh i mean he waited forever to get a chance at UNT, didn't, transferred somewhere he thought he could and gets a major injury before October? Obviously i hope it's a minor setback for him but it would really be disappointing for him I assume.
  2. This game is cruel, stupid, and unfair often. Kason deserves to get his chance.
  3. It's the complacency, and the complete and utter silence from anyone involved with the team after these losses happen. It's week 3 and we've lost two games by 31+ points. Tomorrow the FB account will tweet something about "its game week vs memphis!" and move on like nothing happened, just like we did after losing by 38 to SMU. There's no accountability or respect for the name on the jersey. THAT is what enrages me. Not the occasional loss.
  4. I'm as frustrated as anybody, and I admit to being a bit of a Wren homer, but hear me out. Football is, essentially, the only major sport at UNT that hasn't seen some level of demonstrable success in the last six years, and to be fair, we were rolling with tremendous upside under Littrell heading into 2019. I would implore people to just wait until he has the opportunity to make his football hire. Yes, it's overdue, but the extension at the time was deserved for SL and Wren has overwhelmingly contributed to improving our brand. Hell, this sorry team is gonna be competing in a vastly superior conference starting next year because of WB. He needs to get SL out the door ASAP. It's a band aid that needs to be ripped off and there's no other way to put it, but I've said it before, until we were 1-6 last year there wasn't really a right moment to do it and we rattled off five straight wins. Should he have made the rip by now? Definitely. I can assure you we are much closer to the end of the SL tenure than the beginning here and Wren's track record at heading an athletic department leads me to believe he will make a considerable upgrade.
  5. Y'all can it please. We just got absolutely slapped around like the little brother that we are and that our school chooses to be to SMU. Maybe don't lose to the most important team on your schedule by 30 for the second time in three years and then you can say stuff like this.
  6. All logic points to this making sense. But the hater in me cannot be compressed. F em.
  7. He has to beat them in all three phases. Every week is a new week. It is, after all, a rivalry game.
  8. Not a bit. Seth is 5-0 vs Dimel and the players I expected to show up (Roberts/RBs/KD) did. Show me that you can even put up a fight on Saturday because we've lost by 20+ in four of the last 5 meetings with SMU.
  9. If we lose a 9 PM kick game I'm going to drive to the lake I live by and throw everything I own into it
  10. They can kiss the lower behind of my posterior. Seth is 4-0 vs Dimel. 17 point loss with most of our key contributors returning? Come on.
  11. Who cares? Houston is going to smack them around.
  12. Don't care what our record is but if we lose to Smu AND Utsa AND Memphis AND don't make/lose a bowl, I will be ehhhhhhh very upset
  13. I want AA to be great with every ounce of my being. We also heard that Ruder was blowing people away in camp last year and look how that turned out. I also know that Aune threw 0TD/2INT and went 15/32 in his last game. I can't shake. 16-31 for 121 yards and 0TD/2INT against a very meh Marshall team. 8/21 for like 60 yards and a goose egg against UAB. He was the QB for one of the bottom 20-30 passing offenses in FBS last year. He's one of the hardest working and most lovable teammates on the roster, and he has my support if the coaching staff believes in him and he's out there taking snaps as my alma mater's QB, but man..... enough talk. Let's see it.
  14. Yeah man baseball hasnt proven it can advance any TX programs, just look at Rice, or Texas, or Texas Tech, or DBU, or TCU, or A&M, or
  15. I will still be in attendance at games but I certainly am not spending the amount on season tickets that I have in recent years. In recent years I've skipped weddings (not important ones lol) and all myriad of personal stuff in the fall curating my schedule around MGFB but i just dont have the patience to do that this year for a team I know will finish 6-6 ish. Not to beat a dead horse but barring drastic improvements we're looking at probably a hefty loss to SMU, Memphis, and others. And I really hope I'm wrong. But the track record is there. I wouldn't even call it fence sitting or frustration, I just feel... jaded? I still care and will be present but I don't care like I did a few years ago (i'm 25+recent grad)
  16. No one is going to like to hear this, but we can barely get 10k to a game on a good day when the program isn't at soaring heights. Let's worry about winning and steady, consistent competitiveness before we open an expansion thread for the 300th time. Respectfully!
  17. He should give himself a good birthday present by winning 10 games this year
  18. "You group of five schools" Either a really poor troll joke or blatant lack of self-awareness.
  19. Almost like we don't have a winning culture/staff established here and that's been evident since late 2018 and we should've done something about it by now.
