These stupid selfish penalties. Complete un-discipline. Just a bunch of players playing for self and not the team.

I highly doubt that. We mostly had him contained when he was in the game. The officials even bailed him out on what should have been a safety, but maybe he did get it past the LOS. However, we sacked him six times. He had negative yards rushing. He only got his passing game going when we were forced to play young guys due to injuries in the secondary during the first half We can agree to disagree on what would have happened had Willis played the entire game, but I didn't see them being capable of hanging 50-60 on us. I just saw a better team get completely outcoached and fail to put their foot on their throats when they had the opportunity because of poor coaching.

I feel bad for the players. I believe we had the best team on the field last night. The stats show that. We won everything except where it counts, on the scoreboard. We also lost the turnover battle. With all that, we could have beaten that team even if Malik Willis would have played the entire game. Coaching lost this for the players and that's a shame. Especially his dumb use of timeouts when we needed to score. You use a timeout late just to turn around and hand the ball off? What the hell was he thinking? He obviously was not thinking. I can take losing a game when everyone gave 110% and we just got beaten by a better team, but I hate losing when coaching is completely inept.

Now I get what you are saying however, when you read what you wrote many people will come to the conclusion that the thieves broke into their cars because of last nights performance. I think that is why you are getting the responses that you were getting. Now that you clarified, it makes more sense about their performance. You are trying to play a football game and your mind is on your car being smashed and things stolen the night before. That would be especially hard if they took something that meant the world to them.

I highly doubt this has anything to do with the team or the score. This is a thief or thieves that saw an opportunity. We got run out of the stadium by an FCS team that we paid to come here in 2015 and this didn't happen so I highly doubt anyone did this because we got run out of the stadium by an FBS team that was bowl eligible last year. These thieves just chose the right night because maybe they are hoping it will lead the police on a wild goose chase for a disgruntled fan or former player instead of after them

They can find the money. I don't care if they have to halt building on new projects to get the money. Football is what pays the salaries of all the other sports except Men's basketball. Without the money that football makes, the other sports will lose tons of money which will translate into losses and that is not good for the University as a whole. Ask the city of Denton for the money even if that means allowing Ryan, Guyer, Braswell or Denton High to be able to play at Apogee on Friday nights. I don't care what it takes, SL needs to go now.

How about fans sit where they want to since the stadium will be empty anyway?

I could get behind this if it were not for the fact that they commit the majority of the stupid penalties that gives the other team a first down when we have them stopped or the fact that when they get blown up they feign an injury to try and make it look like they just didn't get blown up.

Completely undisciplined football team. They do stupid things and none of the coaches say anything to them.

I wasn't saying that he should not have been dismissed. I was saying that it is rare for a team to respond like that within two hours of an arrest and charge. Maybe they had more information than what the paper reported. Hell, Ray Rice knocked his girlfriend out on video and it took the Ravens a few days to decide on him. The article said officers determined that he struck her not that they know for a fact. The courts will make that determination of guilt or innocence. I believe SL made the right decision. I was just surprised at the speed in which he acted and the news was already out that he was dismissed. The arrest was made sometime after 8 PM and sometime after 10 PM the news had broken. That leads me to believe that the decision was made within the hour. For it to happen that fast leads me to believe that he had prior behavior problems and they didn't need to or care to wait on more information.

That was a pretty quick dismissal. Usually a team says they want to gather all the facts first before they make a decision. For him to be dismissed within two hours of being arrested, makes me think he has already exhibited questionable behavior in the past and that they believed he was capable of what he is being charged with. What are your thoughts?

The receivers route running and hands are not what I expected, but to be fair, Jace threw some horrible balls and he has been. His accuracy has me concerned. That pass that Pirtle dropped that should have resulted in a TD. Granted a great hands guy would have probably caught that, but Jace made it extremely hard to catch because it was too high. The 4th and one that we missed when he threw it behind the receiver. There were too many times when his passes forced the receivers to have to slow down or come back just to try and make a catch. I want Jace to be good, but he has to give the receivers a better chance at catching the football.

We need to give Aune a shot to see if he can move this offense against FBS level competition.

I wanted to wait on Ruder and see if the accuracy issues from last week would be improved before saying give Aune a shot, but he has thrown some very bad passes. Some should have been caught, but he made them hard catches to make. I thought Aune was more accurate last week. Whether we change now I don't know, but I don't think he can play any worse.

I thought the same thing. I wish Coach Littrell would have given him at least a quarter with the ones.

I may be stupid, but if there are 10 conferences and you are going to allow 12 teams in the playoffs, wouldn't it make since to put all 10 conference champs in and then the next two highest rated teams that are not conference champs? That way, you are guaranteed five G5 schools. At least then a kid knows that if he goes G5, he has a chance to compete for the biggest prize in the game. May not get there, but at least you have the opportunity. Kind of like basketball.

I understand what you are saying, but all of the women transfers have landed at lower tier programs. This is the first to land at a top tier conference. The others I can accept because they were either looking for playing time or got crossways with Coach Mitchell. This one is hard to accept because she had playing time. I am sure they told her she would get better exposure and a better chance at the WNBA or playing overseas. Neither amounts to good money unless you are the best out there or have something else to sell. It sucks that the NCAA doesn't stop this illegal recruiting of players and I know they won't when it's coming from the "Power Conferences."
