It's fair. The 100 meters and 110 meters high hurdles are both sprints. Ruder winning in something over 15 seconds is ungodly slow for a high school track runner. He wouldn't even win his district in TX at that speed. Sure the 100 meters is flat out speed with no hurdles, but 110 meter hurdlers should have great flat out speed if they expect to win. What's not fair is comparing KS track speed to TX track speed. LOL. There is no comparison.

You could probably just go to the article, where the picture is bigger and better, and save it to your computer and then print it on photo quality paper. It will turn out pretty good depending on your printer. That's just an option if you can't purchase it.

This is how you earn big raises by winning conference championships not the SL way of having a couple winning seasons with nothing to show for it. SL needs to pay attention and get it done in football. We gave him the raise prematurely now he needs to earn it.

He played tough. I always thought of him as kind of being a little soft, but he proved me wrong during this tournament. He played tough like I have wanted to see him play all tournament long.

There was some police officer from Frisco PD that was walking behind where I was sitting cheering for WKU. When WKU took the lead, he started saying loudly to some WKU supporters that I told you we were gonna win. I wish I would have saw him when the game ended. I would have talked all kinds of noise to him if I would have. He probably would have wanted to find a reason to arrest me for all the noise I would have talked to him. Haha. I think he went down court side so he didn't have to talk to any Mean Green fans after all that bragging he did about how he told us WKU was going to win. Made a statement like we are not a football state, we are a basketball state and Texas can't beat us in basketball. My guess is he is a Kentucky boy.

They should not have let Marshall get two offensive rebounds that last possession.

I was at the game. I felt like we were not as focused as they should have been. It kind of felt like they would make a run and then lose focus and Marshall would get right back in it. We definitely have the better team. Maybe that close call at the end will get them to understand that they need to focus until the end. I think those are just the pitfalls of a young team. They will learn and the future is bright.

Usually there are 12 in the finals. Only the top 8 score any points. 1st=10, 2nd=8, 3rd=6, 4th=5, 5th=4, 6th=3, 7th=2, and 8th=1. The number from a school who can be in the event for the finals is not limited as long as they are in the top 12 finishers in the preliminaries. It depends on how fast they run in the preliminaries. Obviously, Charlotte had at least 8 men finish in the top 12 during the preliminaries. That is an amazing feat. UNT had 3 in the finals which means there was only one other school in CUSA that got any men past the preliminaries. I was just hoping we could at least break in the top three to break up some of their points.

Whether you like A&M or hate them, you have to admit this was a classy gesture.

Meet over. Charlotte had 8 guys who made the finals of the men's 3000. They came in 1st-7th for 38 huge points. UNT had one guy finish in 8th for 1 point. There is nothing left that we can do to overcome that. Wow. Coach Sheffield better start getting some distance runners in the program along with his sprinters. Bean would have been great as a sprinter because he is not, in my opinion, a better football player.

Our men are dominating the sprints and scoring big points there. Charlotte is dominating the distance races. We need to win at any relays if they have any because there is only one sprint left and looks like Charlotte is leading.

Love me some T&F. I am watching the CUSA indoor meet on CUSA TV and it is killing me hearing the announcer inside the meet calling UNT North Texas State. It hasn't been called that since my freshman year. Yeah I was there when they change to UNT in Spring 88. I know the announcer is older because his voice gives it away, but "C'mon man!" get it together.

That's what I suggested would be the outcome on another post because I didn't think things would be good enough by Saturday. I haven't looked at the weather in Bowling Green so maybe that had something to do with it as well. I understand that Denton has a boil water notice going on, but if they need drinking water, they can use plenty of bottled water. If it's teeth brushing and showering, then you can use bottled water for brushing and baby wipes to wipe the hot spots. Okay maybe I was having flashbacks of the Army with the bottled water for brushing and the baby wipes. LOL

Bummer. I would rather us get rid of the Marshall game if it means we can play WKU. We need to play them. We need to see where we match up against the best in this league. For the women I am okay with it. Even though it would be nice to see if they can get a win in Bowling Green, a place they have not won often. WKU is ripe for the women to sweep this year.

I would hope that they will be able to push it to Saturday/Sunday, but I do not see that happening either. It would suck, but I think the only feasible option based on weather is for them to fly in Saturday and for our women to fly out on Saturday. That would mean a Sunday/Monday game. The temperature in DFW is only supposed to reach a high of roughly 35 degrees on Friday depending on where you are. That's just enough to cause stuff to melt and then freeze again causing a nightmare. I think power will still be stressed on Friday as well. Saturday will be the first good day are my thoughts and then play the games Sunday/Monday. However, that would be a short turn around to have to play again on Friday/Saturday. Bowling Green's weather could be even worse. This weather undoubtedly threw a monkey wrench in this week.

I don't think McCoy ever made Sergeant. All the write-ups I ever saw said he was a Specialist. That is one rank below Sergeant, but I think he still deserved the nickname Sarge.
