  1. I wholeheartedly agree with Mean Green Matt and Greengal. I have spoken to her and it's obvious she really cares. Sometimes I wish that one of Grant's assistants would just go over and help her just for a little while until the ship can be righted. There was such a high expectation for this team this year and it seems nothing is working right now.
  2. Jalie is a good recruiter, but not very good as a coach or player developer. I hate to lose her recruiting ability, but she either needs a great assistant who can coach or she needs to be replaced.
  3. As much as I want them to be better, this team is just bad. They may be the worst team in the conference. They have regressed a lot.
  4. While you are BS'ing, I am serious. Can he? We can give him SL's salary and have him make us a winner in football. Lol
  5. I don't know if it was by design or not, but if it was then that shows Grant truly believes in Perry and we should too.
  6. If PB can get the defense to perform better this coming fall, we will all forget about the fact the twins transferred. He was able to get a tremendous amount out of a defense that was not recruited to play his style of defense. Those were guys recruited to play Ref's defense because Bowen didn't change from what Ref did. So like you, I am excited to see what PB does with guys he brings in and wants to play for him and be coached.
  7. You are right that it's pure speculation, but isn't that what we all are doing? As far as a big loss, I even said that I am not saying we won't miss them. I am just asking is it worth keeping them if they are a cancer? I do suggest that maybe they were a cancer. Antonio Brown was not worth keeping with all of his talent because he was a cancer. If the twins are the same, then it's not worth keeping them because as good as they are, if they bring the team down then it's not worth it. They can't win by themselves. Again I give you that it is all speculation. As far as sour grapes, I am not upset at all. I just ask if they are a cancer. If they are, good riddance. If they are not, then I hate to see them go. None of us really know. All we can do is speculate about what we see and how we feel about it.
  8. I tend to think this has more to do with them being selfish. As a Steelers fan, they bring Antonio Brown to mind for me. They are all about self. I do not think they are leaving because of SL despite what their dad said about not bringing in talent. That was just an excuse. They even thanked SL in their parting tweet. However, they did not thank PB or any of the guys that came with him. Like Antonio Brown, they don't want to be told their crap stinks when they make mistakes or have stupid penalties because of a lack of discipline. PB would not tolerate their crap so they want to leave. Not saying we won't miss them, but I am asking is it worth keeping them if they are a cancer? Guys that were decent that wanted to be coached are not leaving. Our best defensive guy, who is KD Davis, hasn't said he wants to leave. That's because he wants to be coached. The twins just want everyone to do to them what they have probably always done to them since they were kids and that's tell them how good they are and just let them get away with stuff because they are good. When I see PB trying to coach up the defense on the sideline and they are completely not paying attention, that told me what I already knew. That's just my honest opinion.
  9. How is this an update on Ken Garland? Sounds more like a Track and Field bio of Rob Wiggins.
  10. Steelers released Bussey from the practice squad.
  11. FTs killed us tonight. We possibly win this if we could hit FTs.
  12. The Miami guy played at Miami from 94-98 so he isn't even in football any longer. ESPN has it right about Nate Brooks. I am just saying the Cardinal's website has it wrong.
  13. I agree that Miami had a Nathaniel Brooks, but that picture they are showing is Nate Brooks from North Texas and the guy I saw is definitely our Nate Brooks. Those two guys don't even look alike. https://meangreensports.com/sports/football/roster/nate-brooks/432
  14. I am watching the Cowboy game and thought I saw Nate Brooks on the sideline holding up poster boards for the Cardinals. I went to the Cardinals website to see if it was him. I saw he was on the practice squad. However, they have his college as Miami and that he is a rookie. What's up with that? https://www.azcardinals.com/team/players-roster/nate-brooks-2/
  15. Nice read Brett. I think the rest of the league probably got the message loud and clear. We better be ready as well because UAB, LT, and WKU will be tough.
  16. After I got in my car leaving the game, I was listening to the post game show on the radio. They mentioned to Grant that they wouldn't hold him too long so he could get home and watch the Sugar Bowl. I loved Grant's response. He basically said he was going to celebrate his daughter graduating from high school and this win. He then said he was not concerned about the Baylor Bears because he was all about Seth Littrell and Mean Green football. He is not only a great coach, he is a great supporter and ambassador for the school we love. I guarantee you wouldn't hear SL say something like that if the tables were turned. He would probably be so happy that they let him leave early so he could watch OU.
  17. I agree. I just feel UNT is not quite playing together as a team. They are passing the ball to places they expect people to be, but the player is not there. That speaks to chemistry. You have to know your teammates abilities and where they will be. Hopefully they get better at that. On a side note, where is Jaylen Mallard? She has been missing the last couple of games and was not on the sideline tonight. Bret Vito needs to ask and find out.
  18. Looks like they threw in the towel in the third when Baylor flexed a little muscle. Outscored 25-13 in that frame.
  19. We actually outscored them in the second. They need to make FTs. Plus they need to handle the basketball better. The ball is too easily knocked away from them. They have got to hang on to the ball better. I don't know if that is getting into the weight room more, but they sure seem to lose control of the ball easily.
  20. Oh wow! Then we need to find someone. SFA, ACU, someone has to not be dealing with COVID that needs a game and are not too far away, but I am sure Grant has been doing all he can because he is a phenomenal coach.
  21. Wren's past hires have been great so far and I am speaking of McCasland and DeLong. Hoping he has the magic again, but this hire has me skeptical. I will definitely take a wait and see approach.
  22. I just saw a picture of him with a bunch of other past recruits on GMG and started wondering how he is doing now. Looks like he is buried on the Arkansas depth chart. As a matter of fact, they don't project him cracking the two deep next year either. The backup QB is a RFr like he is and the starter is a RSo so I doubt if he ever sees any playing time there. I wonder if he ever thinks "I should have stuck with my commitment to North Texas at least I know I would have a chance to play." Haha. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. Okay. Yeah I am being petty now.
  23. Well the WBB game against Rice has just been postponed. I expect the men to get the same notice soon.
  24. We should see if we can play TCU on 30 December. They have not played since 21 December and their next game is 3 January. It would get them to 30 games and get us to 28 if the Rice game happens. You don't have to make serious travel arrangements since the teams are close enough. It would be a good challenge for both teams before opening conference play.
