I know we’re all still emotional and in our feels, but this athletic department has improved programs across the board by leaps and bounds. Don’t let one weekend make you lose sight of that.

Aune wasn’t the reason they lost but he was worse than the stats show. Ended with 2 INTs but easily could have had 5. Threw into triple coverage multiple times. that being said, they were never going to bench him after SMU. Aune will only get benched if a) he plays poorly against conference foes and b) another QB is showing enough in practice where it makes sense. i guess I should add c) he struggles against Texas Southern. If he can’t get you 250+ and 2+ against TSU, send him to the phantom zone.

Just looking at the schedule, I know better times are ahead. It doesn’t make anything feel better now or even the long term future of the team, but I still have confidence they’ll end up with 6-7 wins and a bowl game. plus, I just love tailgating so I probably will still at least be in the lot for another game or 2. They’ll get my $30 for parking and that might be it.

That must have been a timing or specific concession issue bc i got a pizza in the 3rd quarter fairly easily. It did take me the entire 1st quarter to get a fletchers corn dog. But it’s a 3rd party vendor so I won’t really hold that over gameday ops. I put it in the survey just so they were aware.

The gameday experience made the day even worse. Not only was the product on the field well below par, so was the product off the field. Personally, it was the worst I’ve ever witnessed in/at Apogee. Was a top to bottom failure of a day for the program.

The video boards were absolutely atrocious tonight. I don’t remember them showing a replay once other than about 5 minutes left in the game they showed “game highlights” which was just the Adaway TD.

Completely healthy WR room and Aune still extremely inaccurate. Who would have thought.

The Under The Wing Pub is a huge flop. TVs not even working ha.

Aune should have 3 picks by now. Just give us SOMETHING different. It may not work out but at least try at this point.

The point was voting can (and let’s be honest, probably will) be skewed when it gets closer to the playoff. That G5 school on the fridge or the SEC school.. money starts talking. Will this system be better than it currently is? Yeah. Seems that way. Just doesn’t move me enough.

UCF and Cincy had to win for years to finally get a sniff. Just one bad year and you’re back to the back of the line.

Giving the 6 at large spots to the top ranked schools will just end up being a reason to rank G5 schools lower than they should be. You think they’ll take the 12-0 G5 school or the 9-3 SEC school. It’ll be an easy choice. Without a guaranteed spot for G5, this doesn’t move the needle for me.

The compromise will end up being all P5 champs get auto bids, 3 at-large with 1 guaranteed to a G5 school. It’s been setup to go down like that for a while.

but for real tho… if we beat SMU, I’m gonna start getting real reckless with my takes.

I’m not worried about the students showing up. They usually do unless it’s a monsoon (UTSA game) or we’re just tragically bad. It’s usually the wing having barely anyone is what makes the attendance look bad at times.

Having Tobe do a concert on campus for students the night before a game to kind of hype up attendance wouldnt be a bad idea for the university to explore. Particularly for homecoming or really any big game. I’m sure you have to book him well in advance and be hard to forecast which game weekend would benefit the most.

I think it’s a good idea to try to get more of the apathetic fans in the gates. If the game is good, then you get them exposed to a great atmosphere and maybe they come back. If the game is bad, well at least you captured some revenue you might not normally have lol

There will be other new unis. Just haven’t been shown yet.

Optimistic: 27-23 UNT Pessimistic: 38-14 SMU Realistic: 28-17 SMU Unfortunately, I see more ways for the game to go wrong than for it to go right. Hoping the game ends on the latter side!
