  1. I hope Drez plays on the TBT team this year. Would love to watch him play in green again.
  2. Next season will be fun. We’re going to learn a lot about Ross’ talent evaluation and what kind of team he wants. I’m excited in that regard.
  3. I didn’t have Calipari going to Ark meaning we’d lose our top recruit on my bingo card.
  4. Saw this on Twitter and I fully agree. Put your money to tangible improvements. These kids may leave after a year but that new arena will be around for the next generation. Instead of getting in a bidding war while the NCAA figures out this NIL stuff, improve the program as a whole.
  5. Here’s your reminder to not be weird on Twitter/X/whatever because as UNTLifer pointed out, being in the portal doesn’t mean they’re leaving.
  6. It won’t stop until players are put under contract. NIL deals should be a minimum commitment of 2 years, unless you’re graduating from the current university.
  7. I think one was Cash and the other Reese. I’m saying Stone could have easily had one too. Had a throw to the sideline that was telegraphed and DB had a clean break at it. If I remember right, the WR was able to come back and make a play on the ball to save him. I guess the ultimate silver lining is that our DBs were flying around yesterday. Absolutely hunting INTs.
  8. He also threw multiple passes that 100% should have been intercepted but either his receiver saved him or the DB didn’t make the play.
  9. My Spring game takeaway: Chandler Morris will be QB1 by week 2 on campus.
  10. Very interested in his market. I loved watching him play but he’s a very specialized player that needs to be in a specific role to succeed.
  11. I just don’t see how UConn loses. Maybe the best team since the 05-06/06-07 Florida Gators.
  12. I’ll still take the over if anyone wants to bet against Ross.
  13. I propose a trade. AScott for Rob Jennings
  14. Nah you’re on to something here. Be that middle ground between JUCO and high major ball. Go to these kids and say hey give me 2 years. We’ll win some games, you’ll improve your game, then you’ll go get paid. But obviously have your core culture guys that are around longer.
  15. If Stone gets non-garbage time minutes next season, Ross and Co failed the roster building process
  16. And here’s the self fulfilling prophecy of “you can’t get drafted from UNT” because when we do have a guy with the potential, they’ll be moving on before it happens.
  17. Hot take: Don’t really care about this one. Think Ross finds someone that may not get the averages he did but will be close and fits better.
  18. I think it’ll depend on role. I can’t see either leaving unless they get an equal or larger role on the next team.
  19. There is a disgusting amount of people I know that religiously watch their T-shirt school every Saturday but is like pulling teeth to get them to UNT games. Both football and basketball. The excuses are always the same. But it all comes back to the lack of engagement when we were in school.
  20. The school just hasn’t figured out how to engage a bigger percentage of the student body. Getting them to care while they’re on campus is so important because once they graduate, it’s much harder. For every 10 people I knew while in school, maybe 7 of them watched any college sports and probably 2-3 of them cared about UNT sports. So how do they bridge that gap is the question.
  21. Taylor’s size scares me but the kid is incredibly talented. I think Mason is going to be a stud that might push for minutes Year 1.
  22. This doesn’t really change anything for me. We went on the road and beat a team that beat us earlier in the season. That always feels good.
  23. Time to give Moore and Cotten some minutes. Let the next wave get some exposure.
