Would like to see a more mature (older) DC that has also been a head coach.

I was shocked how well we played against Boise, with a qb whose turnovers lead to 10 points. Our offensive line and interior defensive line play was very encouraging. GMG

Never forget we were playing Army and they had established a long dive. Our defense was gassed and I’m screaming call a time out! It never happened they score and we ended the 1/2 with 3 time outs remaining. The only time I saw even say anything on the defensive side was saying something to one of the twins who just had a penalty! Excited for change!

You are mentioning players that are on the back end of pay for play. I think you could see players bail at the G5 level just to get a paycheck. It is going to be a hybrid system and unfortunately for coaches they will need to be prepared to flip the roster every season. I'm confident that EM can evaluate and develop talent. Yes I want to see the assistant coaches he hires, but really excited to see what qb he brings in.

Hasn't worked well for A&M or SMU this season. I wonder if Lash is the new June 2.0?

When we hired coaches, they always said how important it was to build relationships with HS coaches.(that means waiting) With this hire we have the relationships immediately! GMG

Players like KD , Shorter and the twins transfer. One of the big reasons for Seth's downfall was the twins transferring. I trust EM with evaluating talent (one of the main reason I wanted him), but didn't trust Seth's.

Our luck with the portal is not the same as a lot of teams are experiencing. Could Seth evaluate talent? IMHO No! Tulane made the turn around in 1 year because of 10 transfers. It is my hope that being in the AAC will attract better options in the TP.

How many HS kids never made past the 3rd string at UNT? Maybe 1/2 of the 85 roster? A player that has had 2 years of P5 weight training and nutrition can be a better option than a kid out of HS. If you can foresee a HS kid that can contribute quickly than great, now worry how you are going to keep him after his Sophomore season. Long term development of a player is out the window. Tulane coaches aren’t better the HS recruits aren’t better, the transfers are much better this year.

This is not the current idea at most schools. TP is still in the infancy stage. Their could be opportunity with HS players, because everybody is going after transfer players. You just need to figure out how you keep them once they develop. QB is a position I would not recruit out of HS. We could be in a great position with EM and players wanting to play coming from the P5 level.GMG

I don’t, all you can ask for is to be given an opportunity and he had one. He is leaving a multi millionaire, he should show class and thank the ones that supported him!! Very, very disappointing. I feel like something will come out eventually.

We all griped about Seth’s recruiting now we are upset Morris is probably pulling offers? Lol We are pretty stacked if we can hold on to most players. The Tp is where the action should be. Find a qb, maybe we already have one. Exciting time! GMG

EM needs to win some Transfers. He is a dynamic guy but needs some help. Get the DC and qb coach hired. Would like to see a qb coach that has pro or college player experience!

I can understand running the clock down but based off Phil’s reaction that wasn’t the plan. We are at mid field with a good kicker and a defense that was playing very well up to this point. I like our odds!

I really hope he stays. Hell of a catch! I never understood why he didn't get more deep balls even in a jump ball situation.
