  2. Depending on how well his home made black bean and cheese tamales turn out, that might not be tough to do.
  3. Maybe a "Talon Reform Bill" will be passed.
  4. Can they leave this camera up after the stadium is finished? Watching this combined with listening to 88.1/100.7 could be better than some of the Mean Green Premium feeds I've seen before.
  5. I guess it depends on how wild the campers are.
  6. I plan on being there, but I have kid sports in the morning. I plan to grill up some jalapeño sausage. Oh, and I'll have the green popcorn again if anyone would like to try some. (green apple flavored)
  7. I was going to stay in a tent. Is that I'll advised?
  8. I've never camped out in the Fouts parking lot the night prior to one of the football games. Is it family friendly? I'm thinking of doing this the night before the Kansas State game and bringing my 8 year old son. I'd like to hear about some of your experiences.
  9. This thread seems to be a rehash of stuff that I thought was already determined and semi-public knowledge. 1. I thought we already know what the helmet will look like next year. Looks like the last helmet of the DD era but with a white stripe down the middle. It's visible in the latest stadium video with RV. See 1:01 into it: 2. Our mascot is still the eagle. (If not, our fight song is well overdue for a lyrical change...and what is that green bird on the hips of our uniforms?) Our nickname is the mean green. No matter what, I like this thread better than all the coach firing chatter.
  10. I also voted Riley. I'm hoping that if other teams, knowing of Riley's arm challenges, don't defend the long ball, we work in some half back or end around passes deep with the former QBs we have floating around in different spots on our offense. Maybe that would help keep some defenses honest.
  11. Still my university. Still get my support. Maybe just me, but expecting the program to do more by giving them less money to do it with seems contradictory, though I suppose we are limited in the ways we can show displeasure. I'll still be there with my green on...hopes are still high, but my expectations this year are low.
  12. You may be thinking of the RV portion of the Blue Lot. That's where I saw the muts fans last year. I think they let anyone with RVs in there.
  13. Yes. Following the NT Football Facebook posts, they flew out this morning from Love Field.
  14. I have to watch kids play sports too...then will be speeding home to catch up via the miracle of the DVR.
  15. Not to knit pick, but SOW is also on the hip of the pants and has been since these unis first came out.
  16. You are likely one that finds it funny that the Mean Green are dressed in all white at away games too, then. Think of it more as a culture rather than a color. ...I don't even know what I meant there. Just go with it.
  17. I noticed Jeremy Knott sitting right in front of me at the Rice game. I talked with him a bit. Seems like a good kid. He said it seemed weird sitting in the stands for his first time to watch a UNT game. I probably beat him down a bit by asking him if it was weird being there and not wearing green shoes. When some of the folks in section F started expressing frustration with special teams, I'm sure he was wondering what the same folks were saying about him last year. None the less, it was great seeing former players turned fans getting into the emotion of the game, signaling first downs, etc. He said he'll finish up his Computer Engineering degree this year, but definitely plans on coming back to Denton next year to see the new stadium.
