I've been asked if I work at North Texas before by people noticing my North Texas lanyard. I have also had people ask if I went to A&M when they noticed my ring. I'll occasionally get asked if UNT is where Todd Dodge went to coach or how Coach Dodge is doing at UNT. For the most part, I experience indifference to my UNT attire. For reference, I live in Allen and work in Dallas.

I agree. I'm a fan of the kelly green helmet with SOW on the sides concept.

You might get your wish. Check out the helmet in front of Rick in the latest stadium promotional video on meangreensports.com. Looks like the previous green helmet but with a white stripe down the middle outlined in black. Maybe this is the next generation helmet. I don't know why else he would have a helmet like this.

Otherwise, there might be a significant aversion from putting the quarterback under center.

Good questions and good opinions. Personally, I'd definitely make sure to make it out to see the throwback uni's. Could take a game of relatively little importance and largely increase the significance IMO. They pay off still may not be there, but it would be cool to see.

They say those pics were taken today, but they were definitely taken several days ago. As of today, there are only about 3 rakers left to be started on the home side. These pics show around twice that left to go. Not that it matters.

I was hoping they'd do that this coming season as part of the farewell to Fouts. I'll keep hoping.

In a meangreensports chat room a while back (during the Spring Game, signing day, or something else) one of the green gang hinted that there would be different helmets used this year and that they wouldn't be white. Does anyone else remember this? I haven't seen anything mentioned since then and was wondering if anyone else has heard anything. Go Mean Green and Go Fouts Fireworks tonight!

I agree also. Gives us more real estate for all our upcoming championships and bowl victories.

I've been utilizing the DVR to catch this as well. Much better than having to watch it on the computer.

...and they probably feel too much credibility to lose when they lose to a non-BCS team.
