  1. Though he was good in his day, I can't help but think that the game has passed him by...
  2. I seem to remember George being upset about the Dickey firing as well.
  3. Harry - You need to change the "Author" line at the top of the article to reflect who the actual author is. I got turned off on the article after reading the first paragraph or so and stopped reading...not because I was offended about the opinions or anything, but because I didn't think it was an accurate reflection of the feelings I think you've had over the past serveral years regarding the program. I was put off by the fact that you'd come in after the firing and portray your feelings that way. It was my impression that you continued to support the program and hope for the best without "checking out". May just be me.
  4. I stayed until the bitter end. I got through it by trying to not look at the score board and watch one play at a time, looking for something good. I was glad I was there to see Craig's run on the fake punt. It was good to see Lance score a touchdown. It was also interesting watching the team transform into an under-center team. I think we easily ran more plays under center last night at the end of the game than we have in the past 4 years total. Apparently they've run out of room for injured players on the sideline. While sitting in the stands, I heard someone shout "Hey Riley". I looked over to see Riley Dodge heading up to the press box in warm ups with the coaches after the half. I later realized that the person that shouted at him was JJ Johnson, sitting in the stands behind me with his family, surrounded by upset fans talking back and forth about how bad the team is. I talked with him briefly about his foot. I feel bad for these young men sacraficing their bodies to the football gods and then listening to their "supporters" shout about how the team is playing like "s". I sure hope things turn around next year.
  5. 2nd for me is a tie for all others in the SBC. Until we move to a different conference, the better the Belt, the better for UNT.
  6. Dodge would be there. He'd just be late due to poor clock management.
  7. If we still have a mathematical chance of making it to a bowl (and getting a 7th win as a bowl win), you might have to wait one more week as well.
  8. So we need someone more mobile than Riley???
  9. I saw a pic of him playing behind the unconventional three tight end formation.
  10. Was part of this stolen from Paul Blake's Journalism report? Sounds kind of familiar.
  11. Unless you count the club level. Then it's the middle level. whatever. panic.
  12. So, what if we go 5-2 to finish the regular season and win a bowl game? Does that count toward the 7 wins? I've been curious about this, though I don't really expect us to get into that situation.
  13. Really? You are comparing the attendance of a C-USA in-state home opener to ULaLa on TX/OU weekend? And you are blaming Dodge for the drop? Just sayin'...
  14. If I remember right, with a win today we'll be alone in first place in the conference until Tuesday. Let's do this! NORTH!!!
  15. Sounds familiar. I'll be leaving Allen at around 3:30 and will be in a sling due to the shoulder surgery I had a couple weeks ago. I, however, will be with me son in section F. Looks like injuries are on the rise on and off the field for the Mean Green Nation.
  16. At least they aren't trying to work blue accents into our colors like they did before. (I believe in the 90's)
  17. Doesn't Hawaii have a green on black uniform? I think I like.
