  1. Nope. I'd like some consistancy, but green helmets are on the horizon for next year.
  2. Do you have it in you? https://jobs.unt.edu/applicants/jsp/shared/frameset/Frameset.jsp?time=1290688560760
  3. I've watched several away games on Mean Green Premium. Seems to be about as hit-and-miss as the home games over time.
  4. I'm in the same boat. A rep from the Athletic Dept. Came out to my workplace last week and is coming out again this coming week with more details. I'm looking forward to learning about the new ways I can support the program beyond financially. I really like and appreciate the direction the school seems to be taking. They are reaching out to alumni to rejuvenate interest in the university. Me likey.
  5. I went to the Rice game a few years ago and hung out at the NT tent. They sold food (hot dogs and chips) at the tent. President Gretchen (can't remember how to spell her last name) and RV both spoke. Pretty cool. I can't remember if they sold beer or not. I think we had to buy it somewhere else. I wish we were going to Monroe. I keep thinking this is a trip I'll make one of these years. My son, who you met, and I have a campout this weekend. I'll have to follow the game on the iPhone. Be safe.
  6. The best we could do in conference is 4-4. I believe the only way that could ever get a team a share of the title would be for all the teams in the conference finish 4-4. That would be wild, but not happening this year.
  7. Game is underway. It is working through the XBOX360.
  8. The XBOX360 has a new FREE download for watching ESPN3.com (formerly ESPN 360) games through your XBOX360. I downloaded it and am going to give it a whirl. Note that the first screen you see when you run this shows icons for only the top 3 or so games, but the UNT game is available if you click on the Highlights and Events icon. Once you select it, you can vote for who you think will win the game. (So far the voting is split even between UNT and MTSU.) Hopefully this will work better than watching on the computer.
  9. I'm guessing they are surely showing the ESPN Gameplan feed through satelite/cable rather than the Internet ESPN 3 feed.
  10. Jason Garrett's wife called. She wants to know where the Canaleses had the t-shirts printed up.
  11. He said something pretty close to that in the Dunham interview after the game. Someone back me up here.
  12. Me too. Unfortunately the football team and the band both fell short.
  13. Note that some of the folks complaining here are also former GB members. What did your son think of last night's performance (assuming he was there)?
  14. I recall them playing the ESPN theme and that popular sports song that I think is called "Dr. Who and the torteous" or something like that. Regarding the bass guitar, I did notice hearing that as well, though I didn't notice the speakers.
  15. I'm paraphrasing, but he said that there were some backup players that didn't step up last night and that backups need to take every snap in practice seriously and be ready to step up or there they need to leave the team. Something along the lines. He brought this up referring to the crack block penalty toward the end of the game, but I thought that was called on Dunbar??? Maybe a backup lineman missed their assignment which led to Dunbar doing whatever he could do to stop the guy. I dunno.
  16. As many times as I've heard the Green Brigade get drowned out by opposing bands, I'm starting to wonder if it has anything to do with accoustics in Fouts. I give it one more home game and if it happens again, we should just move to a new stadium.
  17. I like hearing Brett's perspective on things. To throw in some variety, has anyone reached out to see if we could get George Dunham on one of these live podcasts? I'd love to hear some of the off air stories he may have from over his years calling the football and basketball games, his thought on the coaching search, as well as how different things are now that he has a son on the team. Just a thought.
  18. On another thread someone asked if UNT could still technically win the Sun Belt. Someone else responded that WKU would have to win out. Thinking that probably wasn't the only possibility, I thought I'd try to put together a scenario where we pull it off. Feel free to call me out if I have a math error somewhere. I spent some time on this, but not a ton. I tried to do this without throwing in any rediculous upsets, but naturally there would have to be some upsets, mostly by UNT. Here is my scenario: 11/2: MTSU beats ASU 11/6: FIU beats ULM WKU beats FAU UNT beats Troy 11/13: WKU beats ASU FIU beats Troy ULL beats FAU UNT beats MTSU 11/20: ULL beats FIU MTSU beats WKU UNT beats ULM 11/27: FIU beats ASU MTSU beats FAU ULM beats ULL Troy beats WKU 12/4: FIU beats MTSU Troy beats FAU I know...a lot of long shots, right? If this scenario were to play out, there would be a three way tie between Troy, MTSU, and UNT, but UNT would have beaten Troy and MTSU in head-to-head competition. The thing that makes this scenario kind of interesting is that UNT would have to beat KSU to be bowl eligible.
