It will be a tough season with the Belt teams...except for FIU. When we play FIU this year, the game clock will start but there won't be any plays made because both teams and all of the fans will be too busy giving each other high fives! It's going to be an EPIC game!

No. We still moved up. And we moved up a fair amount in the categories of all other sports, academics, travel, funding, national reputation, and revenue among other important qualities. Right now, this is better than the Sun Belt. 5 years from now, this will be WAY better than the Sun Belt.

I like it. Geographically speaking, this move fills out the conference quite well. Adds good basketball and more markets for TV revenue. The overall caliber of football takes a bit of a hit, but give everyone a few years to build and we will be sitting in a very solid conference across all sports my friends. Time to drink green beer because this is a turning point for the Mean Green.

Benson said the Sun Belt wants a minimum of 12 football playing schools and will probably bring in an additional non-football playing school to balance out all the other sports. 12 football schools / 14 schools total.

Reporter asked what will happen to Georgia State's men's soccer team since the Sun Belt doesn't have a men's soccer league. Georgia State AD mentioned if other schools that join the Belt have men's soccer teams it could be something they create within the league...

Interesting report. What was their AD fired for?

In a somewhat similar story...I drove to Houston from Denton this weekend and saw more North Texas bumper stickers on cars than UT, A&M, TT, OU, OSU, SMU, and TCU combined. Started to see more UH bumper stickers once in Houston but was pleasantly surprised by the amount of North Texas stickers that we saw!

Watching other dudes squat has never been so invigorating!!!!!
