Amen. Least we forget all of the OOC games NT has lost under Dickey. This win over SMU does not absolve DD from anything. Surely you won't be happy to beat SMU and then get schooled by Tulsa (again) and by Akron?

I'm not taking up for SMU or Coach Bennett, but exactly how does a staff prepare a team (SMU) to take on NT, who the week before were outplayed, outclassed, outscored the week before? I mean, with the exception of one scoring drive, nothing stood out against Texas. NT won last night. Good crowd, good college football atmosphere, and not riots. I just hope SMU keeps an open mind in scheduling NT more often and not use this loss as a means of killing future games. Both schools need attendance and a local rivalty game. Tcu need to be in the mix too.

Best post yet! We are a nationally acclaimed music school, then act like it damnit! The music school should fund matching shorts and shirts just like UT does. I've said it before, if it is mandatory for a music major to be Brigade member, then we should have the best damn band in the state of Texas. I'm really getting tired reading about how this university keeps shooting itself in the foot at every turn when we have a chance to showcase ourselves. No wonder why alumni drop like flies. And what's with no North Texas TV commercials during the telecast? Who negotiated that contract?
