TCU's conference moves over the past 10 years has always been about moving up the food chain - getting to an AQ football conference. They did it by joining the Big East. It just so happens the Big East is a damn good basketball conference too. They will pay their dues for a while in basketball.

Based on our results the past 4-5 years, I think we should go with your original suggestion, simply NORTH TEXAS or MEAN GREEN.

I'm still trying to sort through all of that scrimmage information. Wow! So much to absorb.

Harry, you can't be serious? That's the famous tree from the Eagle Point Golf Course. Back in the day all golfers used that tree to, uh, relieve themselves during the course of playing a round of golf. Yes, that's the tree that goes back to and pre-dates the 1960's when I played golf on that course. Do you realize how many golfers have urinated on that tree over the course of 45+ years? If the University and/or the Athletic Department has any type of big announcement coming, now or later on, they best go ahead and let the cat out of the bag. With possible conference re-alignments going on (B12, CUSA, SEC), it's best we announce to the world that UNT is moving forward. Big dollar donations gets people's attention. wink, wink CUSA, B12, MWC.

Our AD, to my knowledge, has never divulged the number season football tickets sold during a given year. And this goes back to 1995 when we returned to D1A. Top secret stuff just like the Coke-Cola formula.

Pac 16, SEC 16, Big 16, ACC 16. Big East 16. That's 80 teams. Or, they could have 5, 14 team conferences for 70 teams. Remember when the D1A designation was formed? That consisted of maybe 90 teams if I remember correctly. The beginning of the Super Conferences/Associations and the end of amateur college football as we know it.
