    Deep Ellum circa 2014-2018 was awesome. Back when all the restaurants were starting to open up, bars were never too crazy, and you didn’t have to worry for your life.

    Hardly any projections have us going there. Bowl projections are worthless when they first start coming out in October, but at this point in the season they're pretty reliable. Especially, Brett McMurphy, who is well connected on these things.

    What's really embarrassing is CUSA is the only FBS conference that doesn't have their championship televised on a major network. All 9 other conferences play on ABC, Fox, CBS, or ESPN. Meanwhile, we're stuck playing Friday on a secondary sports network no one watches. Thank God we're almost out of here.

    They really need to put up a plaque somewhere that lists NIT/NCAA appearances, and division titles. Banners should be reserved for conference titles and Sweet Sixteen, Elite 8, Final Four appearances.

    They def wouldn’t be ranked right now if last year didn’t happen. Their resume isn’t nearly as good this year.

    It doesn’t make sense in other sports either. It’s incredibly unstable having multiple teams claiming league titles for the same year. You don’t see the NBA/NFL/MLB crowning a regular season champion.

    I’m not, but okay… In the AAC I’ll expect us to have a winning season 3 out of 4 years, and win a bowl at least once every 3 years. I don’t have any strong conference title demands other than we should still be in the conference race in November most seasons.

    No other conference recognizes a regular season football champion. That’s what the championship game is for.

    Oh, really? Because I keep being told my standards are too low for not expecting that. I swear coming on this forum is just like that Fansville commercial where they yell at the guy for not being mad enough about the team losing.

    I’m mostly ripping CUSA for introducing this made up title that’s never existed before. Unless a conference doesn’t play a championship game, regular season titles are not a thing. But if UTSA losses the CUSA Championship, but still claims a 2022 title then yes, I will mock them endlessly.

    I don’t think UTSA fans were demanding Traylor win a title in four years or be fired. Only message board trolls make those kind of demands.

    Yes, we should immediately be better than SMU, Memphis, Tulane, UTSA, and UAB 🙄 Right now, all we should be realistically asking for is a winning conference record.

    When your a program that hasn’t won a conference title in 18 years it’s absurd to demand a new coach win one within four years. Especially, when we’re joining a better conference.
