  1. By my guestimation, we still have eleven ships to give for this class. How would you like to see those eleven distributed? I would like to see: RB: one HS (Donovan Young or Tyler Middleton) WR: two HS (Kevin Robertson and his clone or Cameron Brown) TE: one HS (Kayl Barkley) OL: one more HS (Kyle Stouffer, Dylan Laurens or Jens Danielsen) DT: good JUCO and one HS (Edwards from Aledo or Davis from Nacogdoches, JUCO's Jewel Christian or Chris Henderson) DE: good JUCO and one HS (Whitney Richardson or Jude Akpunku, JUCO Brandon Harris) LB: one HS (Austin Willams, Lance Williams or Trey Brown) DB: one HS (Carrington from Lincoln)
  2. Love how this class is coming together. The next week and a half will be fun. I'm still holding out hope for another DT or two, one more OL, a couple of WR's and a RB. By my count, we still have roughly 11 ships to give and I would love to see a few skill position players, but mainly a focus on the lines. Our lines were dominant when we were winning conference titles. Plus, I love the fact that we are winning recruiting battles with other D1 schools and not a bunch of Southland teams. I am excited about this class, but really can't wait to see what type of class they put together in 2012 with a full year of recruiting.
  3. Pretty interesting in that Rivals has English committed to Houston as a DT and Scout has him committed to Memphis as an OG.
  4. If on a Friday, hopefully it is a Friday evening.
  5. Does anyone have the highlights from his first game against Colorado when he went off for 248 yards? There were a couple of awesome runs in that game. Hope he is doing well. His Mom was fun to sit close to during the games.
  6. Followed by a lack of committment to recruiting, lack of player control, etc... In spite of all of that, I wish the man well.
  7. Notre Dame inked their deal with NBC and pretty much went in the crapper. Hopefully the same happens to UT.
  8. All the reasons posted on here for the Morning News ignoring North Texas are B.S. We are a Division 1 university like all the others being followed and are in their own backyard. They have always covered us before and there is no reason for them not to be covering us now. I went to their "Contact Us" link at the bottom of the page and sent an email to the sports editor.
  9. Love the video of all of them, but especially Carrington. Looks strong in run support and covers well.
  10. That makes 5 DT's that have committed to UH. If I was McCarney and staff, I would keep an eye out for someone dropping out of this class. Vito's Blog
  11. I don't think the age of the homes is the real question. When the current owners purchased would be more applicable in this case.
  12. That would be disappointing considering, in my book, you can never have too many DT's on your roster.
  13. We'll, we've picked up nice recruit(s) at DT, OLB, CB and now Safety. We need a couple more DT's, a DE or two and Swarn's teammate Carrington and I'll be extremely pleased with the defensive side of the recruiting effort.
  14. Tune was not an option quarterback by any stretch of the imagination. Based upon his celiac illness and the work he put in to finally earn the starting job, it just doesn't seem fair that he wasn't given another year.
  15. The problem with this development is that the city of Denton doesn't have the infrastructure in place to support high density living in the area. In conjunction with the new football stadium, etc... in that area the current streets are not designed to handled large amounts of traffic. Bonnie Brae is essentially a Farm to Market Road from I35 heading south. The city should be proactive in widening streets to match development, but as usual, Bonnie Brae will be a mess throughout the first year or two the stadium is open. This is inexcusable considering NT has had the new stadium on the drawing board for a number of years and Denton knew this area would start to develop, but once again they choose to be reactive instead of proactive.
  16. From the DRC article, Stojkovic, which means "kick your a$$ in Polish, was recruited as an OLB.
  17. Agree with your post, but I would argue that Cobbs, being our all-time leading rusher, plus his play on special teams is tough to ignore and not put #3.
  18. Katy is known for well-coached, smart, disciplined players. This is a fantastic signing.
  19. Poor #56 didn't know what hit him. The run blitz around the 1:15 mark was a thing of beauty also. He appears to play at a higher speed than everyone else on the field.
