  1. I was wondering if it would be best to move "Hemi" to DT permanently. He was a heck of a HS DT and was a three star, all-state prospect out of Celina. Someone saw some talent in Troy to give him three stars, and I just have a hard time believing he was a bust. He appears to be buried on the depth chart at OT and could, with his sole focus being on the position, be a DT in the mold of Evan Cardwell in my mind. Any thoughts on this? This maybe a move out of necessity since it appears Wright chose ASU over indoor plumbing and North Texas.
  2. I'll agree to stop the Dodge discussions about where they may end up, or as emmitt puts it, "the lovefest," if posters also agree to stop calling RD a spoiled brat, ertc..., and if you stop you constant envy laden posts of all things UT. There is so much difference in character between Riley Dodge and Vizza that your comparison is ridiculous.
  3. I don't have access to his hame, but wasn't he scheduled to visit this weekend, or was that next weekend?
  4. Like his confidence. Would hate to have a man playing his position without any.
  5. I don't see us signing any more now that Osborn and Jones are on board. Maybe one other HS player, but I would be surprised.
  6. Very pleased to have Mr. Jones in the Mean Green family and some fans to follow from East Texas.
  7. From Yahoo! "Helmet stickers are a big tradition in college football. Many big programs such as Ohio State, Stanford, and Arkansas use helmet stickers. Many other schools used helmet stickers in the past. In a sport that largely focuses on team accolades, helmet stickers serve as a method of rewarding individual players. Different universities give helmet stickers for a variety of reasons. Here's a look how the tradition started and how it is used today." Enjoy and discuss. I still think NT should go to the green helmet and have white "eagle poop" stickers.
  8. Good Lord. You can buy season tickets in the "General Admission" area (tail section) for $100.00 The family package costs $400.00 for the season for a family of four; two adults and two children. Is it that difficult to figure out?
  9. Maybe we should go after some of those Razorback recruits and point out the number's game gamble they are playing.
  10. Not terribly surprising since academics wasn't stressed at Houston Yates.
  11. "You would have to look hard to find a basketball coach at any level that has accomplished as much as Tina Slinker has." Shocking first sentence of her bio.
  12. Some of this is a little over the top. Scott Hall played with a torn ACL.
  13. Is this the same man that led the opposition against the propsoed Fry Street development?
  14. See clip below, sorry for the intro ad, and place Karl Benson in Adam Sandler's place with a picture of RV on the table. The Mean Green Show
  15. I would suggest a knit cap. With all that wind just over the top of your head, I would be worried about you catching a cold or the flu.
  16. Glad to have him interested, but is he head and shoulders above some of the local young men that are interested in North Texas? If not, why offer a kid that far from home that could become homesick over kids that live in this area/state? Now if he rates a 4 or 5 star on Rivals, then get him here.
  17. Nothing against Riley, I respect what he did and how he conducted himself, but my goodness. If he deserves a spot at the top of the home page, then he should be in line behind Scott Hall, Patrick Cobbs, Brian Waters, Booger, etc...
  18. If so, will there be a picture of him at the top of the board?
  19. I just can't believe I'm the only person to think of this.
  20. Well, that's a weekend road trip in Texas. It's only 945 miles from Texline, TX to South Padre. Lookin' forward to having Brent join the Mean Green family, and yes, any other teammates of Brent's we should be aware of?
  21. Are we in a dead or silent period at this time? Does anyone have access to the recruiting season calendar from now until signing day?
