  1. I think Zach Orr will be fine, and I would love to see Prior moved back to LB also. My greatest concern is experience at DT and some added depth for the OL.
  2. It is disappointing, but the note at the end that states to stay tuned is positive. It is what it is.
  3. OSU already shows 27 committments. I thought the limit was 25 per class. Why would they be waiting on a test score for one, Carr, and obviously oversign other areas?
  4. Hope Brooks sticks. He's a greater need than Hunt, although I hate to lose him if true.
  5. The only person reporting this is some OSU fan making their 1st post on here. ESPN still has him committed to us.
  6. I think Coach Mac would have gone the JUCO route for some DT's if they could have transfered in mid-term, in fact, I think he mentioned this during his press conference. I hope TTech doesn't come sniffing around our few DT recruits to fill their now pressing need, and I liked this news: as of 1/17/11. Hopefully we have someone after him, although Carr may fill this need. I would prefer to see Carr playing safety. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that another DT and another OL slide our way.
  7. In Pittsburgh? Really? Their women are so ugly they are one of two NFL teams, the other coincedentally being Green Bay,that don't have cheerleaders.
  8. I think they all stick, and we surprise everyone by stealing an unexpected recruit.
  9. Hope it sticks. We need some more beef.
  10. Shaft, I would feel comfortable, based on the current results, that our coaches are doing a fine job finding prospects. But, I agree with SUMG and thank Cooley for pointing out this possibility.
  11. Good looking player. I think he will have us forgetting about Carrington before we know it. #51 in the area and previously committed to Tech tells me all I need to know about Wariner. Now we need another WR, two OL's and one more DT to finish out this class. I like how Bret mentioned checking back later today for more news.
  12. My concerns are: 1. What good team have we beaten this year? 2. Poor losses to SHSU, MUTS, Troy and ULa-La. 3. Poor defensively 4. No true leader like Tramiel. Thompson being benched for lack of discipline in practice concerned me since he is a senior and should be one of the leaders. I hope they can get their issues corrected, but I am having my doubts because none of the above issues are corrected easily, especially 20 games in to the season.
  13. Then again, Rivals once showed Swarn as an Arizona commit.
  14. I have lost all faith in this team when playing on the road. If it were a home game, we'd win by 10+, but since it is on the road, we will lose by 15+ Just the way it is until they prove otherwise.
  15. I'm just so pleased that DISD does such a fantastic job of educating the youth that we don't have to worry about the kids who commit to us from one of their high schools.
  16. Eulessismore, that is my point. They should redshirt, but we won't have that luxury unless we find a JUCO or two. We really need Cantly, Abbe and White to step up this year.
  17. Problem is, you don't typically start to see recruiting classes contribute for a year or two outside of backs and receivers. Our greatest need is DT, and while I am pleased with Thompson, Brooks and Lincoln, realistically, none of them will contribute much this year and shouldn't be expected to. Honestly, they should all redshirt.
  18. Ferentz absent 13 Players Hospitalized w/ Muscle Disorder Parent's Say Drug Tests Normal
  19. Exactly my point, and yes, I know it was unanimous to win the West, but gay Denver's gonna have that wrapped up in no time. I guess it all depends on where we want this team to go. Kansas has had, what I would consider, a half a clunker against a very good Texas team and lost. Then again, they were dealing with the death of a teammates mother. What other top teams are getting beat by a 4 win team or by a team that they beat by 17 earlier in the year or by a Southland Conference team by 20 pts? We should have won all three of those games, plus the game against the MUTS.
  20. My problem is that his frame looks to be filled out, and a 6' and 249lb. DT ain't gonna get it done against OL's with 70 pounds on him.
  21. I'm sure they are lining up players that had already verballed to Tulsa, plus a few more. I noticed Jason Frimpong from Irving, who had originally committed to Tulsa, had pulled his committment as is headed to Pitt this weekend.
  22. It is the nature with which we have lost that bothers me the most. If we want to be seen as an elite team, we should expect to beat teams like SHSU and a 4 win Troy team.
