Sorry, this is just an excuse. I went to my first game at Fouts in the mid/late 60's and never knew there was something better out there for years. Fouts is a convenient excuse for those fair weather fans to use for not coming.

You know, I agree. This is not a shot at UNT90, but an overall observation. I don't care if people have a differing opinion than mine, but the editing of a post and the typing "fixed" is irritating. It isn't fixed. That was that poster's opinion. If you have a different one, fine, just write it out and leave the original alone. Again, not a shot at UNT90 because many do it, just my HSO.

I gave coach a pass on last year, but this is the year he has to produce. There is too much talent and too much experience with this coaching staff for another wasted year. In the event Benford doesn't succeed this year, who do we go after as a replacement? Does Ernie Kuehne care enough about the program to raise the funds to buy out the remaining Benford years?

Besides being quick, they, and the DB's, played their responsibilities to perfection taking away Rice's options. Text book perfect defense.

41-6 North Texas

Watched "The Stand" again last night and came away with a few thoughts. 1. The first play was the option left where Trice planted Dillard. I really think this set the tone for "The Stand." 2. Second play, Wright had a picture perfect tackle knocking Dillard's helmet off. 3. Option right led to a big loss with Orr getting credit for the tackle. 4. Phantom call on Whitfield. 5. Think a stuffed run up the middle. 6. Incomplete pass to right side of endzone. 7. Jones beating his block and upending Dillard on a sweep right. 8. McHargue channeling his inner Bob Griese and taking a big loss with Lee dropping him for a huge loss. 9. The students/fans getting louder and louder as "The Stand" progressed. I may have a few plays out of order, but I really believe Marcus Trice set the tone on play one.

I think Rollins may fit the bill as our "real fast running back." He has been close to breaking a few and I would love to see him in the open field.
