    In 2003 we had one of the top 10 rush defenses in D-1 going into our game against Air Force. They proceeded to throw for 300+ yards. UTSA being one-dimensional takes nothing away from that win.

    A loss you can feel okay about, especially considering our defense up until last week. I'm feeling a little better about our chances in the coming weeks, though SMU will still probably turn up to beat us like we owe them money. I'd take a shitty bowl game as a huge win at this point, which seemed a pipe dream after week 2.

    That is part of it. The entire community can rally behind the team because there is no one else. It's also partially how Boise State became who they are, but in a bigger market with less competition.
