  1. If the turnover margin is the difference in this game then you've got to like our chances. Coach Mac said we are a +2 in turnover margin for the year.
  2. GB playing Happy Birthday for me? That would be great! Oh, you mean for Joe Greene? Ok, we can include him as well.
  3. Today's my birthday so I want to celebrate with a win!
  4. I just checked again and I see other football games at that time but not this one. If you found it then great! I'm sure it's going to happen.
  5. I just checked the ESPN3 site and you are correct - it isn't showing. Hopefully that's a mistake and they haven't changed their minds.
  6. I don't think the MWC would be looking to add a team that would be at the bottom of their conference.
  7. If they need a place to meet we have a nice, new conference area built into our new stadium. I'm sure they could use our place for free.
  8. In my wallet I have a ticket stub from the 11/24/2001 OU-OSU game at Norman. This endzone seat (section 38, Row 55, seat 8) cost $50.00. I bet it costs more now. Why was I at this game? My wife is an OSU grad and we enjoyed listening to the OU homers gradually lose their bravado during the game as OSU won. Why do I have this stub in my wallet? It was watching my wife cheer at the game that I decided that I wanted to marry her.
  9. Meh ... seems like it was writting by someone looking solely at stats and not watching the games.
  10. There it is ... the remaining Big East teams combine with the remaining Big 12 teams, they include SMU, and we have an opening for CUSA.
  11. Early in professional baseball's history they went through the Black Sox scandle which lead to the creation of the Commissioner's office which had the ability to make decision for the better of the game. It might take some kind of similar pressure from the public and government to get college football to do the same.
  12. Was it a problem when they put him into the game against Houston deep in Houston's territory? He only ran for the first score in Apogee history. I don't have an issue at all with McNulty being put in there.
  13. McCarney is still wearing the dark sunglasses. Either he had one horrible eye doctor or he's become hooked to the look.
  14. Against Houston I thought he was close to busting a few. Houston's defense recovers so fast.
  15. Great video! It put a big smile on my face.
  16. Vito's Mean Green Blog link to in the first post of this thread.
  17. There's a neat video someone uploaded on that link. It shows them walking through the tailgating and stuff in the stadium. It's five minutes long and well worth the watch.
  18. Wow! No mention of our record the past four years? No mention of Todd Dodge? Maybe Vito had a bit to drink after the game. This actually seems kind of giddy for him.
  19. Considering we had three freshemen starting our OL was better than I expected.
  20. Below are is the attendance for every home game for the past four years including yearly averages. Tonight's 28,075 is about 2,500 below capacity. It is, however, the largest crowd of the past four year. If you want to remove 4K Houston fans then we would be at 24,075 which would only trail the Navy game by a couple thousand. However, if you want to play that game you should subtract more than 4k Navy fans from that game. It's a little disappointing to not sell out but we came close and considering our recent history that says something. Also, I had a lot of friend attend the game who had not been in a while. All of them are raving on Facebook about how great the stadium is and what a great time they had. I think this word of mouth will help our attendance to grow over time. At the end of the year it'll be interesting to compare our worst home attendance games with the worst games from the past few years. EDIT: In 2007 we came close to averaging 20k for the year. A horrible bad weather game (and bad season) against Western Kentucky kept us from it. I'm really wondering if we can average 20K this year. I think it will take getting on roll and good weather but it's possible. 2010 1 Rice 23,473 2 Louisiana-Lafayette 17,015 3 Arkansas St 14,589 4 Florida International 14,718 5 Troy 14,289 6 Kansas St 21,952 Average 17,673 2009 1 Ohio 16,674 2 Middle Tennessee St 22,364 3 Florida Atlantic 23,319 4 Western Kentucky 11,214 5 Louisiana-Monroe 12,167 6 Army 23,647 Average 18,231 2008 1 Tulsa 22,785 2 Florida International 16,781 3 Louisiana-Lafayette 17,106 4 Troy 18,345 5 Arkansas State 9,761 Average 16,956 2007 1 Florida Atlantic 20,479 2 Louisiana-Monroe 18,973 3 Middle Tenessee St 18,181 4 Navy 26,012 5 Western Kentucky 5,027 Average 17,734 This post has been promoted to an article

  22. Houston continually had guys getting behind our secondary. Fortunately they didn't connect on a few of them. There was also that one touchdown where we didn't even cover the receiver. We got some pressure on the QB but we were always a step late from getting the sack. Our DB's did ok but had their own issues. We just need some talent upgrades.
  23. Alabama won't be fun. Tulsa is looking really good. Indiana isn't looking good. If we can keep improving ... stay healthy ... we could go on a nice run in conference. I just really hope we don't wind up rotating quarterbacks for the next three years.
