I think this is not a big deal. Any common sense would tell you that having participants voting for themselves is going to cause issues like this. However, it's common nature for coaches to think more highly of their team than others do. It's human nature to think more highly of the teams the coaches have see rather than a team from across the country that they haven't played recently. Since the coaches' poll and the AP polls generally are close I don't see any wide spread corruption in the vote. I think any problems mostly come from human nature - which, again, is to be expected. I think these guys wasted a lot of time researching something most folks already knew.

Well, since we're going to be in the same conference with them next year ... Since Houston is loosing most of their top offensive players I think I'd rather play them even if it is in their Fouts look alike stadium.

OSU's defense has been lacking all season. I didn't see them winning out, anyways. This was actually a tough game for me to watch as I really wanted both teams to win. Iowa State really earned that win. It was great seeing their fans swarming the field after the game.

I disagree. If Joe Pa walked in and saw the crime as it took place then he should have immediately contact authorities. However, when he's made away of allegations after the fact the best way to handle it is to contact the proper authories at the university. That is how things work in a large organization ... or even a small one. It doesn't matter if they knew of previous allegations ... Joe Pa had no reason to contact the police himself. It's something that should be handled by the higher ups in the university.
