American Sports Network Announcers for C-USA Football Revealed

The newly launched American Sports Network (ASN) has released its lineup of announcers that will call Conference USA football games during the 2014 season. This talented group possesses numerous years of announcing experience on a national and regional level.

Play-by-play announcers this season include Ron Thulin, Dave Armstrong, Mike Gleason and Bill Hazen, while Keith Moreland, Dave Lapham and Jim Donnan are the analysts. Thulin will be teamed with Moreland, Armstrong will work primarily with Lapham and Gleason teams with Donnan. Hazen will fill in on select contests.

Thulin is a veteran sportscaster who has handled play-by-play for the San Antonio Spurs and the NBA on TNT, along with college football for C-USA, the ACC, Big Ten, Big 12 and Pac-12. He has also been the voice for college basketball, baseball, swimming and diving along with track and field. Thulin has also called alpine events for three U.S. Winter Olympic Games, along with gymnastics and men's and women's basketball for the Olympic Games in London.

Armstrong has been broadcasting sports to a generation of fans, working for ESPN, FOX Sports and the Big 12 Conference over the past two decades. He has also broadcast Major League Baseball with the Kansas City Royals and Colorado Rockies and NFL Football with the Kansas City Chiefs and Seattle Seahawks. Additionally, Armstrong is the author of the book, "Driving From Here to Wow!"

Gleason spent 15 years with ESPN/ESPN Regional Television during which he covered the Big Ten, Big 12, Big East, ACC and SEC. He has also called Big 12 and Conference USA football for FOX Sports Net. This past season, Gleason called Big East basketball for Fox Sports 1. Along with football and basketball he also announced college baseball, Arena League Football and the NCAA men's gymnastics Championships. Gleason has also served as the host for football and basketball studio shows for ESPNU and ESPN Regional.

Moreland played football at the University of Texas before moving on to a 12-year Major League Baseball career. He is currently in his 20th year as a broadcaster, including 14 seasons as part of the Texas Longhorn radio network. Moreland has also broadcasted seven Texas high school football state championship games and served as an analyst for Big 12 baseball.

Donnan served as head coach at Marshall (leading the Thundering Herd to the 1992 Division I-AA National Championship) and Georgia before being inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2009. He has served as an analyst for ESPN on both television and radio. Donnan also serves as a motivational speaker.
