  1. @PlummMeanGreenIt's one thing to get upset and frustrated in the heat of the moment but some have a harder time letting it go. It's hard to tell whether some are happier when we do well, or find more joy complaining about things.
  2. I hope you are right. If he is the competitor we need, getting pushed and knowing he has to stay on top of his game should hopefully make him better. I would like to see Drummond red shirt
  3. Potential is all you ever have on any player before they arrive. It's not like he was able to get time and fail, he was injured. Thanks to their recruiting they just brought in a player who will be a early round one NFL draft pick. I would rather this scenario than him having washed out and then coming here.
  4. This is a tough one. If you don't extend you run the risk of assistants, current and potential, bailing or not coming. Could also take a big bite out of recruiting. Look at Marshal the last couple of year. Seems players choose a school more for the coaches than anything else. Players are coming. It also seems the donors with the deep pockets like Seth. I think we need to win 5-6 this next season and see improvement. Maybe you consider extending like Michigan did. Lower the base and incentify.
  5. Do Service Academies sign NLI? Asking for a friend. Not able to access BV's article to get details and maybe it was mentioned, but does this young man really want to be here, or are we what was left?
  6. I think sometimes when a player expresses interest in the Service Academies schools that might have offered back off
  7. Signing period extends until Aug. 1 this year. Still a lot of players out there. Many JUCOs playing in the Spring. With all of the transfers expect to see a lot of new players hit the portal after Spring practice or when FCS seasons are over.
  8. I was at that game with my wife-to-be, she was living in Austin at the time. Sat in a group of UT fans and never forget several talked to me afterwards and said we got robbed
  9. Agree. As much as I dislike UTSA, San Antonio might be an interesting place if they were actually winning. Still think they have too many fans of A&M and Texas to really support UTSA
  10. Defense wins championships. This might turn out to be they hire they thought Wilson was going to be.
  11. This is definitely an experiment that could work or bust. Here is a podcast from a reporter that covers the team (guess their BV) where their coach explains what he is trying to do. The coach starts speaking around th 18:50 mark. PS - He coached under Dykes at Cal and they mention how he has talked a bit about the SMU model
  12. Filling gaps is one thing, but not one HS players up to this point? Maybe he believes for TSU to win they have to think way outside the box. This is a make-or-break risk. Has any FBS team never signed a HS player in a recruiting class?
  13. If PB and J Gush gets the D going they should add a PB&J sandwich in their honor
  14. No. 24: Bryce Drummond, QB, Pawhuska, 6-3, 215: A North Texas signee, Drummond led one of the highest scoring offenses in Class A to the state semifinals.

  16. He was trying to get the LB coaching position at Texas https://footballscoop.com/news/at-last-mike-stoops-reportedly-has-his-new-landing-spot/
  17. OC, QB, and top 3 receivers When we play WKU I guess we can pull out the scouting report from HBU https://footballscoop.com/news/a-conference-usa-school-has-basically-annexed-one-of-fcss-best-offenses/
  18. Not sure you would call it dirt. MM was pissed and took the opportunity to make the Athletic Depart look bad. Hopefully, while you never want to turn down a donation like that, we are in a place now where if a donor tried that we could tell him to enjoy the music.
  19. As much as I dislike UTSA they are doing some good things. Credit where credit is deserved.
  20. The donation to for the DDPF was done in a way to say, "hey, you need money and I want to make you look bad for what you did to my friend". Speaking of the DDPF, is there a time limit to when UNT could change the name if another donor wanted to pay?
