  1. George looks like he is playing well. Hopefully we can solve this zone and get it inside. Or pray that the threes start to fall.
  2. Clearly, you have not seen what this board can do with so little.
  3. Am I reading into this correctly? Other people outside gmgdotcomland PERCEIVE the WAC as a graveyard, a Land of Mordor if you will? "The very air you breath is poison."
  4. **edited to remove sarcasm. Preface: did not hear or see the game. Everyone of us needs to be prepared to admit that a coach, even the best ones, have bad days. We can blame it on individuals and/or circumstance...whatever your agenda. But we can all admit to hearing our favorite coaches saying after a bad game "we just got out coached and outplayed today." We should not be in a position to be out recruited by LaMo in the grand scheme of things, but that apparently is the case right now; and, for reasons we can only speculate, Canales did not overcome that yesterday. I still like Canales. I still like Leavitt as my no. 1.
  5. Just my opinion but in basketball, moreso than most other sports, good defense can really help offensive production/stats. I did not see the game, but based on what I read in the AP, our players really really had trouble with Kansas size/length. Put KU's lineup against our less-than sizeable guards and you get a whole bag of match up problems: we have trouble penetrating against their length, and their quickness lets them get into our lanes and create havoc within our flow. We will probably not see another team like this all year, and thank God we don't have to play in The Phog again. I am disappointed we could not keep it to about 20, but I wouldn't read too much into this kind of loss. Hopefully this is a great learning experience for our guys.
  6. The way I understood this is the BCS and NCAA are separate entities. The NCAA is not in any position to forfeit/take away a BCS-annointed title. The more appropriate thing to watch is where Auburn will be (perceived, too) if/when the Big 6 start talking about taking themselves into their own "super" division.
  7. I recall a MGN going pretty ape-sh*t after the win over a less-than-stellar Baylor team. I love Canales, but if he gets hired I think it will be because of the Belt wins AND a kstate win. Both represent - if only on a small scale - ability to coach up consistency and one-game heroics. One or the other by themselves is just...ordinary. Leavitt is my first choice, but if this finishes with the team winning out...Canales might become my new no. 1.
  8. I am going to differ to McKinneyMiner on this one. (it is an exciting time to be tied to these two bball programs)
  9. Lack of AD success? Don't throw the entire department under the bus because you only go to mens bball and football games. Generalizing can be convenient. But try attending a soccer, vball, golf or tennis match and maybe youll feel the need to be more specific.
  10. Everyone likes to think they were a part of something special. This looked fun, but these wins are becoming the norm.
  11. Tech boards Dragondawg must be in an identity crisis right about now. Pretty harsh before the game. My experience reading a lot of BCS AQ boards leads me to believe many - if not most - of their fans do not comprehend the parity that exists in bball vs. football.
  12. Is this an attempt to be funny or simply clarify Q's punchline?
  13. Some of these folk are pooped just having found their way out of the football forum, and you expect them to venture outside GMG.com? Harsh
  14. 2 hours to get from 2:32 kickoff to 5:34 end of game Only in MTSU time zone
  15. not debating that. sorry I wasn't clear But if we had a culinary program, they wouldn't put those students behind the dorm kitchen and stop serving residents in favor of cooking for the local summer cheer camps, and then claim it was for "practice".... ...would they? That is, sort of, what I mean. The facility is UNT's, but it's primary purpose falls under the UNT system in the same line as custodial services and administration. Not under any college specifically.
  16. Just nit picking here, but the station - as far as I know - does not fall under the umbrella of any college. It just happens to be a venue where the broadcasters can hone/display their skills. Obviously, given the priorities they displayed tonight, the other 300+ days of broadcasting are not enough. At least, not enough to reconsider dismissing one of only 12 games a year.
  17. MTSU is inaccurate. The video repeatedly referenced them as First Tennessee.
  18. Blonde tending the front bar is wearing a TCU top.
  19. "lifelong BFF" is right up there in the ranks of annoying redundancies with "ATM machine" Carry on
  20. Then have at it! This rest if us are discussing who we need to build our program. And with Internet super-hero success, I might add. None shall pass!!!!
  21. I'll take being #2 for one week and the paycheck that comes with being a middle-pack BCS AQ. Hello?
