  1. Didn't he say he was two years clean? Good for him. He probably makes more money than me now.
  2. When I grew up, there were about 9 vaccines kids had to take. I was told recently by a parent of an autistic that they (today's kids) take over 25. And those radio commericials are saying autism rates have increased 600% in that time span. I wish there was some valid research to sort through. If anyone has links or sources, I think I would like to read up.
  3. Smokey, you're entering a world of pain. Mark it zero.
  4. Yeah, it is wordsmithing. But in all fairness, why not be accurate if you can help it? I equate this to calling FBS football "D-1" now, or the Sun Belt a non-BCS football conference. It drives me nuts only to the extent that it's WRONG. Besides, "waiver" takes fewer calories to type than "redshirt.". Its true, I looked it up.
  5. Just simulate the season 60,000 times in each uniform. Sort through the stats and look for any indications that one uniform leads us to more victories than the others.
  6. I think we have beaten more than 4 teams. /wordslayer
  7. It will be interesting to see if TCU's membership will elevate the play/parity in the Big East.
  8. Summer of '94 or '95 in El Paso was the hottest I have ever felt. Records for single-day high (114), most days > 90, most days > 100, most days > 110, consecutive days > 90, consecutive days > 100, etc. That's the only research I need.
  9. Harry, would you say there is some moxy in knoxy?
  10. This is the sign ol' Fry-sters like to think is the beginning of the Dan McCarney era of Mean Green Domination! He is the second coming of Hayden! Just like the good ol' days with the Worm! Drum corps marching will cease! We will finally have last laugh over those SM-whoooo?!!! Lime green forever!! Fart! Where is my couch?
  11. As you have previously discussed, many Sun Belt coaches think this is the only critical stretch. Sad.
  12. For the sake of bball talk, I want to throw on the table a discussion about efficiency. My opinion, and I want to hear other's, is that points per minute played is a useless stat...certainly cannot be used for or against either sets of players. So many things can change when benchers are used/lineups change. If a coach goes with a smaller, quicker lineup, how can it be disputed that they are going to score at a faster pace? Does that mean that they are a better 5 and all of them should be the starters? If anyone is going to compare lineups, I would prefer these comparisons: Points per possession Defensive points allowed per possession In other words, efficiency stats (miles per gallon) > power stats (miles per hour)
  13. I don't see that qualification anywhere in the listing you linked to. I must've missed it.
  14. We'll probably hear about Tune one way or the other around Spring Ball.
  15. Thanks everyone. I'll be looking to get their internet service.
  16. Meh. Still not convinced. OSU had a star frosh at the time and was picked to handle us pretty easily in Denton. Am I remembering wrong? I felt like we had a pretty good chance going into Baton Rouge. LSU bball was effin' terrible last year, and they have nothing this year to reverse that. I still think this was a fantastic win, though. Puts JJ on the radar for a Louisiana State gig and perhaps opens up some doors for possible LA recruits that were not already there.
  17. 6-0 Sharks have a week dedicated to Dan McCarney.
  18. I know I am long retired from couch coaching, but that's just terrible. terrible terrible terrible. Someone up top in Troy needs to look in a mirror and rethink why they play that way (chucking up the 3). It's bball 101: you need some presence inside. something. Do they not have anyone on their roster that can play the 5? Even Mike Leach ran the ball every now and then.
