They call it a playoff, but the teams are still chosen based on poll rankings. It's all BS. Just taylor it after the FCS system and utilize the bowls as a way to regionalize the playoff games.

Like it or not, smut is the rivalry we all want. Close to home, perceived inferiority/superiority complex on both sides, actively keeping us out of their conference, plus, the game is well attended at both places. When will our 2017 FB schedule be released?

I had sent an email to Wren Baker a couple of months ago suggesting that the university erect a giant flag pole with a giant UNT flag near Apogee Stadium as a landmark for all to see when entering Denton from all directions on I-35. It was stated that something like that had been discussed and was in the works. Dr. S simply reiterated that to me yesterday during our discussion. No other details were offered.

Dr. Smatresk is awesome! We're lucky to have him. I asked him about the status of the giant flag pole I had suggested in an earlier and he said their is something in the works a few months down the road. Wouldn't comment if it was a flag pole or not, just something very visible.
