Whether we deserve a bowl invite or not, this game sucks and I'm disappointed we didn't play better with a .500 record on the line. We are an average CUSA team at best.

Plus the potential for in state rivals and closer/better travel destinations.

If memory serves, we use to have a Golden Eagle on loan from the FT. Worth Zoo that was available on game days, and may have been taken care of by the Talons. Old Timer may have more insight on this. There was also fairly recent talk of building an aviary on campus to house a Baldy, but nothing more was ever made of it, as far as I know. I'm sure there is a lot of time, expense, and expertise to care for a wild/trained eagle. It would take a real commitment. Not like housing a steer or a bear. But Auburn apparently has it down. Maybe a representative from UNT could make the trip and get the details on what it takes to maintain a bird like that.

I'd like to personally give a big SCREW YOU to all the fans that left at halftime and the start of the fourth quarter. Ya, it was a little chilly, but really?? We're tied going into the fourth quarter and our lame ass fans can't tough it out and cheer our team on to victory? Good lord, people! I know we've seen a lot of losing and bad football over the years, but come on! Bowl implications are on the line and half the fans leave with the game tied? Unbelievably bad fans in this town. I was embarrassed. Those players deserve better.
