He will have to prove himself against Rubit, Adams & Thomas. It may be easier to prove himself against Thomas as his supporting cast is not as good as the other two. I think he'll do fine, but to say that those guys should not be considered better than someone who has not played yet shows that you were not paying attention to those other guys last year. Tony Mitchell, as good as he is, is not playing against scrubs. And, he's going to get these guys' best every time he's on the floor with them because they'll see it as a chance to dominate someone who is a sure NBA draft pick, possibly raising their own NBA draft possibilities.

I'm tired of hearing people saying to "keep it in perspective". Here's my perspective: The Rangers were 1 strike away from winning THE WORLD SERIES... TWICE! They blew it. My heart hurts.

Where to we draw this money from? Is this Mean Green Club donation money? Is this athletic fee money? I think finding out where this money comes from would go a long way in trying to answer your question. I definitely think this could hurt the chances of getting better prospects for teams like ULM, San Jose St. and probably a handful of MAC teams that are poorer due to lack of support. I would assume that they would just stay at what they CAN do instead of dispersing the extra money that would be allowed.

The Mean Green are coming off another rout at home, and are going on the road to face the last undefeated Sun Belt team. Defense is playing extremely well consistently and to the surprise of many, the passing game exploded last week, fueling the blowout. The Red Wolves are lead by a stingy defense and probably the best QB in the conference. Aplin is like Riley Dodge with a dependable arm, and coach Freeze's spread is everything we wanted coach Dodge's to be. This one has a possibility of getting ugly like the ULL game unless the Mean Green can duplicate last week's performance. The Mean Green will get to 6-6 this season to become bowl eligible... however, they'll have to reel off 3 straight to close out the year because I don't see this game as a win for the good guys. This does not help any cause. In this case, it only feeds stereotypes. I would hope that these folks would show some pride in their movement and clean up. Otherwise the stereotypes will be cemented in many outsiders' minds.
