  1. I disagree. We need to focus on alumni period. We have way too many non UNT graduates in our board of regents. We need people that care about us.
  2. He’s really done some nice things at Tulane except for this year. Old but a young heart and hard recruiter.
  3. OK so first things first the moderators here were very discriminatory to me and took my posting privileges for almost 2 weeks which Inreally did not appreciate. secondly as I have stated here many many times, our recruiting really sucks donkey *^*^* and anyone who can’t see that on the fled is blind as ray charles!
  4. For Louisiana Tech director of athletics Eric A. Wood, the decisions ahead are among the most significant of his short tenure in Ruston. "There is no manual for this in the athletic directors preparation world," said Wood, who arrived Nov. 16 after a four-year stint as UCF's deputy athletics director for competitive excellence. "The past three weeks have just been unreal in trying to navigate this thing." Wood's message to fans concerned about the future of the conference: Be patient. "I'm not concerned only because I'm sitting in on the calls with our presidents, and I know it's just a matter of time here before we get built back up," he said, "and we'll have some new members in the league." The rebuilding period has begun. Football Bowl Subdivision independents Liberty and New Mexico State and Football Championship Subdivision teams Sam Houston and Jacksonville State accepted C-USA invitations, the league announced Friday. read more: https://www.yahoo.com/news/louisiana-tech-athletics-director-approaching-195538653.html
  5. I agree with Napier as well. Also, the Belt is always bragging about their ESPN deal but the reason they got it and C-USA didn't want it was there were a lot of Wed and Thursday/Friday games. Those types of games are attendance killers.
  6. Judy “College football would not be the same without CUSA” Translation: “I need to keep the conference going for as long as possible so I can continue to make a shit ton of money.”
  7. It’s not! Please stop perpetuating this outright bald-faced lie! Our recruiting has sucked under Seth.
  8. Interesting question. for me: PG - Javion Hamlet SG - Tristan Thompson SG - Chris Davis PF - Tony Mitchell Post - Ronnie Morgan or Shawnson Johnson
  9. Looking like radio only for this match. Radio only for Arkansas-North Texas exhibition FAYETTEVILLE — There will be a radio broadcast, but no TV or online streaming option for Arkansas’ exhibition basketball game against North Texas on Saturday. The game, which tips off at 4 p.m. at Bud Walton Arena in Fayetteville, will be aired on at least a pair of radio stations — 103.7 KABZ-FM in Little Rock and 95.3 KERX-FM in Fort Smith. Other Razorback Sports Network radio affiliates might also opt to carry the game, but none had as of Wednesday. The RSN broadcast will also be available for free on the Razorback Gameday App or behind a paywall on TuneIn. Arkansas’ 77-74 exhibition victory over East Central (Okla.) last Sunday did not have any radio or TV feed available in Arkansas, but was available via an East Central radio broadcast in Ada, Okla. The Razorbacks rallied from a 14-point second half deficit to win the game over the Division II Tigers. read more: https://www.wholehogsports.com/news/2021/oct/27/radio-only-arkansas-north-texas-exhibition/
  10. I would like to see Harrell come back.
  11. After firing third-year head coach Matt Wells on Monday, 247Sports reports that the Texas Tech Red Raiders have reached out to UTSA Roadrunners head coach and former Texas Longhornsassistant Jeff Traylor about the head honcho job. Traylor and SMU Mustangs head coach Sonny Dykes are currently the lead candidates to fill the vacated job. read more: https://www.burntorangenation.com/platform/amp/2021/10/28/22750554/texas-tech-utsa-texas-jeff-traylor-sonny-dykes-smu
  12. College football's game of conference musical chairs has taken a few more turns, and the tunes may not have stopped yet. Conference USA and Sun Belt C-USA subtractions: Alabama-Birmingham, Florida Atlantic, Charlotte, North Texas, Rice, Texas-San Antonio. (Southern Miss also is expected to depart, although that is not official.) C-USA additions: none C-USA future look: Florida International, Louisiana Tech, Marshall, Middle Tennessee, Old Dominion, UTEP, Western Kentucky Sun Belt subtractions: none Sun Belt additions: Southern Miss (expected but not official) Sun Belt future look: Appalachian State, Arkansas State, Coastal Carolina, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, Louisiana, Louisiana-Monroe, South Alabama, Southern Miss, Texas State, Troy For most of its existence, Conference USA's role has been to act as a way station for programs moving either up or down in the college football hierarchy. Its name is as noncommittal as possible when it comes to specific membership or region. Twenty percent of FBS programs have belonged to C-USA at one point or another, and of its original football members, only Alabama-Birmingham and Southern Miss remain in the conference. UAB just arranged to leave and Southern Miss may not be far behind. C-USA loses programs to conferences greater in the hierarchy and plucks from conferences lower. What we've found over the last week is that there might not be anyone lower in the hierarchy anymore. In the last round of major conference realignment, C-USA lost a number of members (East Carolina, Houston, Memphis, SMU, Tulane, Tulsa and UCF) to the AAC, then turned around and raided the Sun Belt. But they aimed for schools close to major markets and long known for having football potential; in response, the Sun Belt brought in well-supported football programs -- Appalachian State, Coastal Carolina, Georgia Southern -- and quickly surpassed C-USA from a football perspective. Now it appears that the Sun Belt will officially add Southern Miss soon, and it might not stop there: Rumors suggest it is likely the Sun Belt will also pluck Marshall and Old Dominion away from C-USA, and also add FCS powerhouse James Madison. read more: https://news.google.com/articles/CBMimAFodHRwczovL3d3dy5lc3BuLmNvbS9jb2xsZWdlLWZvb3RiYWxsL3N0b3J5L18vaWQvMzI0NjUxMzIvY29sbGVnZS1mb290YmFsbC1jb25mZXJlbmNlLXJlYWxpZ25tZW50LXRyYWNrZXItcmVtYWluaW5nLXF1ZXN0aW9ucy1uZXh0LXN0ZXBzLWxhdGVzdC1zaGFrZS11cNIBpQFodHRwczovL3d3dy5lc3BuLmNvbS9jb2xsZWdlLWZvb3RiYWxsL3N0b3J5L18vaWQvMzI0NjUxMzIvY29sbGVnZS1mb290YmFsbC1jb25mZXJlbmNlLXJlYWxpZ25tZW50LXRyYWNrZXItcmVtYWluaW5nLXF1ZXN0aW9ucy1uZXh0LXN0ZXBzLWxhdGVzdC1zaGFrZS11cD9wbGF0Zm9ybT1hbXA?hl=en-US&gl=US&ceid=US%3Aen
  13. As well it should be. North Texas sounds very directional.
  14. Does anyone know where the green brigade stands in terms of the AAC bands? I know SMUt only has like a high school band but not as sure as the rest of them.
  15. We’re all tired with the co start changes but the kids like it and it keeps them motivated so In good with it myself.
  16. We may not like China but the rest of the world is ok with them. I also think their economic power allows countries to look the other way.
  17. And having family in or near Cowtown I am glad that we can have another reason to visit and spend time there. UNT has a fair amount of alumni in Ft. Worth as I understand it.
  18. Yes exactly. People say we won’t support the program but the program has rarely provided any results on the field. When it has we have seen interest and donations rise. Look at our coaching salaries and budget. That was directly tied to Littrell’s good years. The stadium tied to Dickeys success. If we win the conference and get into the top 25 and see no increase I will agree with the doubters.
  19. I do not see Jimbo leaving A&M. He has more there than he would ever have at LSwho They can pay Dykes to ignore attendance Aranda seems like the real deal but he is still living off of Rhules players no? Traylor is as good as gone! He can’t wait to get out of that hell hole! Stick a fork in Patterson he’s done. He might end up being a UNT candidate. Agree in Seth he screwed up staying here knowing what he built was on a deck of cards.
