What conference is SMU going to pay 10 million in exit fees for? Nobody that might offer in the near future. SMU can go independent or stay in the AAC. That’s all they have in the current environment.

I saw the movie last night and enjoyed it. Luke Wilson and Martin Sheen really seemed good fits for their roles. I did not like “Newman” playing the Principle. For one he acted just like the character he played in Jurassic Park. Two, I see no reason to tarnish the legacy of the school with a depiction of corruption and abuse unless it’s true. Is it true?

This has always been an easy formula. Dominate your current conference and other conferences will not need to be persuaded. They will be chasing us. That has never happened around here as even our best years we were not exactly spectacular. If football gets its act together and basketball maintains or improves then the AAC will be knocking at our door. But we have know this for decades and here we are.

Why are we talking about uniforms when we can be talking about moving UNT's premier mens sport to the top of the forums page?

Look. Maybe it’s corny, maybe it’s small but it would still send a message that we value championships as a fan base. We constantly complain about the “wait until next year attitude” and participation trophies that come with being a NT fan. Yet the basketball team just won back to back conference titles and a game in the ncaa tournament. That’s more glory than we have seen around here in 20 years. Let’s do this small thing and recognize them as the premier men’s program at NT. As far as I’m concerned we are a Basketball school and Football you need to step it up!
