Well seeing that, at this point, it is a unsubstantiated rumor, maybe we should hold off on bashing the kid. If I was coming from a neutral football perspective I would think it would be a good decision on his part. Academically? Well I don't know.

We have 120,000 (?) local alums and we can not fill a thirty thousand seat stadium despite our third straight trip to a Bowl game. I believe DD is entitled to vent a little bit. We will eventually lose Dickey. That is going to be a sad day for this program. Also, you do not turn around a pathetic, no facilities having, no fan having, football team in a year. So how about we all lay off the first few DD years. Sometimes I really wonder if you have all lost your minds!

I have lived in Houston for 6 years now and the DFW teams are and will always be my favorites. I am a Home team kinda guy and your home team is the one you grew up with. Now with that being said I respect the teams here in Houston and route for them unless they play a DFW team. One thing I love about the Texans and hate about the Cowboys is there game day enviornment. They have great tailgaiting all around the stadium here. The fans are pumped when they go in to the game and stay that way once inside. I was in Dallas a couple of weeks ago and one radio commentator called the Cowboy fans the "chesse and wine crowd". I could not agree more, fans in Dallas are so boring at the games. Regardles if it is a good season or not. With that being said Go Cowboys and Go Mean Green!

Since moving to Houston 6 years ago, I have become more and more impressed with this school. Rice is among the very best academic schools in the nation. They have acheived their academic prowess and maintained quality D-1 athletic programs all the while. They graduate 91 percent of their athletes, continualy improve facilities, and set lofty goals for their program. Way to go Rice! You deserve this one! Take note Music Majors you can have both..............and we will! Congrats Rice, but Go Mean Green

I knew nothing of the move until your post. My day is ruined! I look forward to making the trip each year. And I am shocked that the City of Denton would force the Fair to be relocated. Now I am just pissed! I think I will shoot a few emails over to the Denton City Council so i can vent.

A national chain like Texas Roadhouse (140 locations in 28 states) knows that it is good business to support the local University. Why is it so hard for the locally owned businesses to do the same? They should be ashamed everytime they take a students dollar!

Can we please quit changing our colors? Pick a color and stick with it. We need to be building traditions around the colors and logos we have. When is the last time you saw Penn State change their colors? (just one example out of hundreds......)

I sit down at my desk this morning. Take a sip of coffe. Look up at the tv that has ESPN tuned in, and there it was, the University of North Texas in big letters. Looks like we made their top 10 list. Most improved college basketball teams in the country I believe was the title. It was a quick look, but it was still a nice way to start the morning. GMG!!!
