  1. Being neutral would be the professional thing to do. He'll hopefully get better as time goes on.
  2. I don't have the numbers but I'd guess Aaron Scott is nearly perfect in the midrange this season. He needs a mid-range green light and more offensive touches.
  3. There's literally former UNT player DJ Draper calling the game.
  4. I think UT makes a lot of sense for Scott Drew, actually. If the salary estimates of $3.5 million I'm seeing online are accurate, they could offer him a big raise and it's not a rebuild so he can come in and have immediate success. In regards to NIL money, not many can compete with U Texas. If Drew had Baylor ties it'd be one thing but he doesn't (that I can find). When there's no personal ties, money talks.
  5. It's a marketability estimate based on social media following, team/personal brand recognition, and supposedly performance. https://www.on3.com/nil/news/about-on3-nil-valuation-per-post-value/
  6. 247 shows 19 offers including Indiana, Temple, East Carolina, FAU, Liberty and many other G5s. https://247sports.com/Recruitment/Owen-Olsen-159904/RecruitInterests/
  7. This was proven wrong a week ago against WKU.
  8. I was thinking about this yesterday as well. Especially how it impacts our match-up. Cal needs a new starting QB as last year's entered the portal and it appears we snatched one of their top targets. Interested to see how this specific recruiting win translates to the field next season.
  9. Based on this commit, I'm guessing it'll be a 2-man race between him and Earle for the starting job. Mobility seems to be a requirement to play QB in Morris' offense.
  10. A simple Google search would have shown he was the starter at ULM last year.
  11. I think that's a fair assessment of TCU's season overall although I think they're much better than last night showed. Lots of comeback wins. Let's not forget Georgia was down by 13 to Missouri and trailed most of that game so there were some comebacks/flukes as well when you add in the Ohio State game. Regarding the Michigan game, TCU was up by 13 late in that game. Michigan trimmed it to 6 with 3 minutes left. And interceptions are part of the game. So are offensive gaffs. Can't fault TCU for that.
  12. Eric Morris was Co-OC at Texas Tech when Tech tight end Jace Amaro was a unanimous All-American. Per Morris' Texas Tech bio, he was directly responsible for coaching Amaro. I doubt speculative tight end involvement is why Roberts left.
  13. Right but TCU handled Michigan pretty well. Michigan beat Ohio State who should have beat Georgia if not for a fluke shanked 31 yard field goal. Sometimes it's just about how one matches up with another.
  14. You're absolutely right that winning football starts in the trenches on both sides. Just didn't feel our OL was a weakness moving forward but also didn't know the eligibility statuses of the guys who played this past season. At the same time, solid depth is always important. We're just seemingly so low on open scholarships that I'm surprised to see so many offers go out to offensive linemen.
  15. Guess you viewed yourself as one of the "many" I referenced.
  16. This is a logical train of thought. The problem is, it's apparent many of these fans don't respect the players as people beyond them wearing UNT football jerseys on a football field.
  17. I'm not too familiar with our O-line situation. I know Mose's eligibility is over but is there anybody else I'm forgetting? I realize depth is a good thing. Just wondering since I'd thought we'd hear more on the QB and DB front. To add, this is me assuming at least one of these commitments is an OL.
  18. Just pointing out how, like athletes, I require zero rest. It's fascinating.
  19. Grand Canyon is at #99 so still top 100 in Quad 2 range. MTSU stayed top 135 so also Quad 2. This has nothing to do with the spread.
  20. Athletes should never sit a game to rest their bodies. I buy tickets and merchandise that supports their pay and if I pay to go see them, they need to be on the field because I'm all that matters. I, gomeangreen.com poster, never take a day off from my desk job for a mental break or simply because I want to take a day off to relax. I show up every day whether I'm sick, mentally fatigued, dealing with family issues, or other issues because I'm the perfect employee.
  21. Well, guess it'll be a 1-bid conference after all unless UNT and FAU only lose to each other and play each other in the tourney championship game. To add: or if FAU or UNT finish in the top 30. I believe the highest ranked NET team to miss out on the tournament was a low-major ranked 33 but had one of the worst SOS. They just blew out every conference foe until their conference tourney. If I recall, they changed the NET formula to start the 2021-2022 season because of that.
