This seems like a weird thing for Arky State to mention in a radio show or to reporters at all... I think it was an oversight on our end or they had a little trouble getting the money together in time, but there is no reason it should have ever been public. I don't think it is that big of a deal and I am already not a fan of AState's AD based on how he has talked in the media since we took his star coach away. Whack!

ideally, by the time Seth Littrell either leaves or signs his next contract, i hope we have had enough success to have our coordinators at 250k+ and our least paid assistant at 120k. that is going to be competitive in the next 2-3 years and I believe puts us within reach of some schools that are at a slightly higher level than us right now... just in case things fall apart with realignment again, we would be much more attractive for the next AAC level conference I believe will be created. I think the next head coach contract will be a million dollar contract regardless.

Agree to disagree on the emblem on the chrome helmets (not the chrome helmets themselves). I just think it copies what other people have done before. Kids love it, cool... But I think it has more to do with the flash of the chrome than the emblem. You really can't even tell what it is supposed to be from afar anyway.

Probably more because it is chrome and it is a familiar approach. I like the chrome, I just don't like copying every other winged animal mascot helmet ever. I like the helmet overall, the swag jacking is not my cup of tea.

I hope they dont use the decall design from the chrome lids... That is unimaginative and generally whack!

I too struggle to see why Harrell is our highest paid assistant... to me, D-coordinator should be since we will run Littrell's offense anyway.

This is a very solid Hire. Rick Pitino is known for his player development and that is due largely to how he uses his assistants... That is an incredibly important skill to have at the mid-major level!

In a word, no. He did get an extra year on his contract, but it appears that there might have been an agreement for him to take less initially. I think it has something to do with the whole RV and Mac still receiving their pay checks thing. I expect to see that he will have a somewhat larger paycheck while maintaining or improving the assistant pool.

I personally like Duke's set up with track adjacent/conjoining with the soccer stadium... I think it looks cool and allows for more appropriate atmosphere for spectators of both sporting events.
