wasn't this the game that chico let everyone play. I still remember Greer throwing that touchdown pass to the Utep db. We would have won that game if chico had played to win and not giver everyone a trophy. I guess he knew the job was not his and just gave up.

what do they offer the MWC? Terrible football (only winless team in college football) and bad basketball. That sounds like us three seasons ago.

We were up by 15 and I thought we were going to cruise to a victory. Grambling came back strong and gave us a game. I think we have better players but we tend to get a little sloppy at times with our passes. It was fun to see the team work inside last night. One thing I do hate in BB is the fouls that are being called. It seems you cannot even look at an opposing player and not be called for a foul. I am really getting confused in BB this years by the fouls are being called and administered. Last night the Grambling player made a shot from inside the paint and it counted then he was given two foul shots. Grambling got a Tech and we made the basket but the ball was given back Grambling after the shot? I need to find a rule book and catch up on the new rules.

i will pass on the hod this year. wasn't crazy about the first two times and have no desire for 3rd trip. You guys can cheer for me.

wonder what that guy who said SL recruits 8th graders is saying these days. I also remember after their loss to us one saying they gave the rest of cusa a blueprint on how to beat us. I think the loss to hit that team (UTSA) hard and they never recovered from it. Not to mention they cannot seem to find an end zone these days. Anyway bowl season is upon us and I hope all CUSA teams do well including UTSA. With ten teams eligible from CUSA the conference can make some noise in the college world. Lets hope for a 10 and 0 bowl season.

If you win in El paso they will come. There is not a lot going on in the big El Paso. They are on island and not close to any major cities and have a captive audience with no real competition. Not even safe to go to Juarez anymore. Back in the day when I spent two years at UTEP (being from El Paso) the crowds were always pretty strong in both football and basketball. I am amazed at the pictures of their lack of fans at both the Sun Bowl and the Haskins center. They win or just are decent and they will lead the CUSA in attendance. But recruiting to El Paso has to be hard. It is a commuter school. When I made way to NTSU I thought I died and gone to heaven.

I have had this same thought about football but if the stadium can last 20 years it will be ok. I am just afraid the lawmakers will get involved first and shorten the 20 years. I guess we can always play touch or flag football in the stadiums. Soccer is risky also, I will be bored to death. The NFL will be facing the same problem so I am sure they put the money out to keep the game going. That is my hope anyway. The players have become bigger, stronger and faster and makes a violent sport even more violent. I played in High School during the 70's and a big lineman weight around 200 or 250.
