I saw that too. I actually still have the UNT FIU game on the DVR from last year. I went back and looked and it was still Doug Graber and Sam Smith. Guess the bio is wrong.

At least this means we won't have to fight through his fine work during the telecasts this year. I wonder what talent ESPN will send in to replace him.

Okay. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this the same Doug Graber that has been the color guy on ESPN Plus' coverage of the Sun Belt games over the past several years? Now the Defensive Coordinator at Ball State? This could be just the edge Ball State needs over us. If someone else picked up on this previously and posted, sorry I missed it. IMO, if he coaches like he commentates, should be a big day for Riley. I just wish it was Sam Smith taking over their offensive side of the ball. That would really be offensive.

Wouldn't it be great if UNT had a throwback game and sported the flying worm era unis? My guess is that this would be a bit too pricey...more than sporting black Kmart jerseys for a single game anyway. Just pulling things into the scope of this area of the forum.

Ummm. I think we need all the fans we can get, IMO. UNT has a great game experience to offer. I'll bet there is a big chunk of our alumni base that isn't aware because they haven't given a game a try since before Rick took the reigns as AD. I wish we'd find a way to incent our D/FW alumni to just come to a game so we could get them hooked. By the way, Craig and Corby both drive me nuts with their OU douchery and relative indifference toward their alma maters.

So if Todge were to get the axe, would Riley pack his bags? What if Riley has an amazing year that isn't reflected in the W column. There are too many variables to make a prediction based only on wins and loses. IMHO

At 2:30pm today, ESPN was doing a special on Texas College Football. Unfortunately I couldn't hear any of it because I was in a restaurant and the sound wasn't turned up. They had the helmets for the Texas FBS teams lined up behind the commentators, most of which you couldn't see most of the time. However, in the dead center were the Texas and North Texas helmets getting the most exposure. Unfortunatly, they had slapped a white face mask on the North Texas helmet rather than a black face mask like they actually use. I called someone and asked them to DVR it in case they talked of UNT. Based on the clips shown, I don't think we got much love at all. Anyone see this?

Maybe he took Flag Football while he was at North Texas. I did that. Maybe I should start putting on my bio that I played football at North Texas.

Does anyone know if the 2009 football schedule posters are out yet? I usually make the trip to Denton to pick up a few each year for the kids, office, local Sports Clips, etc. Seems like the Athletic Office has had them by the fireworks show in the past. Anyone know?

Sort of related: Which Srappy head do you prefer of recent years? The older spikey/pointy head: The current rounded backed head: I'm a bit partial to the older of the two. (Don't you love offseason topics?) Maybe it's because we used to win with the spikey Scrappy. Much higher intimidation factor.

Interesting. Scout.com says this game will start at 6:30pm Eastern and meangreensports.com says the game will start at 6:30pm Central. I wonder which is correct. Just wondering if I'll have to leave work early to catch the game on the tube live.

Things seemed to go down hill after Scott Hall graduated, coincidence or not. It would be nice to see another Hall under center...uh...I mean behind center, although I think there is no relation between Scott and Javia.

Hi Nancy , Thank goodness this year we were allowed to watch practices, as long as we stayed on the other side of the fence (off the practice field itself). I didn't make it to a practice either, but enjoyed the reports that some on this board provided.

The defense is letting up on the QB, even before the grace whistle blows. Makes it a bit difficult to read how dominating the offense has been, but I tend to agree with you.
