UNT 90 Grad

I wouldn't touch a thing with the UNT pep band. They look like a bunch of crazy student fans that happened to pick up instruments and play better than most pep bands you hear...and have fun doing it. That's part of their charm and what makes them fun to watch, IMHO.

I was told the same thing as KRAM1, with one other detail. For groups wanting to sit together, they will need the request in writing from each account holder. This is to protect the higher point holders from being downgraded in seats without their approval.

For those thinking the wingzone is temporary and isn't part of the 50K plan, RV said the stadium can get to 50K without tearing anything down. Works for me.

I happened by the AC when this was going on. I talked with one of the moms (who was very excited for her son). The parking lot was full and people were parking in the field across the street. Coach McCarney was out front greeting people and holding the door open as they arrived. I was surprised at how he seemed to recognize the young men as they came up by mentioning something special about them. (i.e. "well there's the 4A rushing champ from... Etc.)

I'm guessing the number of people that will now go because of the date change will outweigh the number of people that will now not go due to the location. I plan to be there. I plan to tailgate if they'll let us.

I'd like it if we could coordinate the chant part of the UNT fight song outside of the fight song. Most fans already know it. If done with the hand motions, it could look cool with a lot of participation. Synchronization may be a challenge, but I'm generally surprised at how synchronized other schools are with their chants.

So I wonder what track event is causing the conflict. George threw that out there, but UNT Track looks to be on the road that weekend. Did we have an agreement for a high school meet or something? If so, there is some irony.
