  1. I have been a few times, and I think it is pretty solid, though some of their sides are really the best part. And, the banana pudding is about as good as it gets IMHO.
  2. Getting Hunt to scroll "Go Mean Green" would be pretty awesome if they would do it. They always do stuff for Mavs/Cowboys/Stars/Rangers.
  3. Yup. Need to talk to someone with Hunt Consolidated and One Arts Plaza as well. I think One Arts is owned/managed by Billingsly Companies.
  4. I am guessing that UNT's new allotment is in the first 5-6 rows of the upper level. There were only a few sporadic seats taken in those sections when looking at the HOD website this morning, but now each of those sections has the first several rows showing as being taken now.
  5. So, are the 2000 student tickets included in that 10,000, or is that a separate count?
  6. I would guess upper end zones but leaving the upper sidelines available.
  7. My favorite memory as a student was just going to every game in 1994 to help do my part for attendance to get us back to Division I-A. That and just the being privileged to be in school in a time where I could both see Mitch Maher pass the ball and Toby Gowin punt the ball.
  8. Black SOW it is: https://twitter.com/HODBowl/status/411231925953499137/photo/1

  10. My usual 3 that rotate in and out of my second seat are all coming with me together to the HoD, so my typical me+1 is now me+3.
  11. Which I really hope is wrong: “South Central U.S. Long Range Weather Forecast for December 8th, 2013 - February 7th, 2014 (Includes Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico) December 2013 28th-31st. Fair, then more unsettled weather. January 2014 1st-3rd. Showers, much colder.”
  12. Though the story is about a proposed sales tax, the included copy of the Dallas City Council briefing has a very good history of Cotton Bowl Stadium with plenty of pictures. I certainly enjoyed seeing this with the upcoming Heart of Dallas Bowl and thought others would as well. http://cityhallblog.dallasnews.com/2013/12/caraway-davis-suggest-its-again-time-to-consider-half-cent-sales-tax-to-help-boost-fair-park-cotton-bowl.html/ Here is a link directly to the council briefing on the Cotton Bowl's recent improvements that includes the history lesson if you'd like to skip the story: http://dallascityhall.com/committee_briefings/briefings1213/QOL_CottonBowl2013Improvements_120913.pdf
  13. That was a very nice job by UNT alum Cynthia Izaguirre in what appeared to be an ad-lib on her part to correct the bowl name and reinforce the message for NT.
  14. The aloft would be a good (bit less expensive) alternative that would keep you very close to the DTD Omni.
  15. Yeah, you can stop at Craft and Growler and fill up with some good Texas craft beers to go for your tailgate.
  16. It is generally safe, but there have been some violent incidents on DART trains within the past couple of years. I don't believe any of those have ever occurred during busier times--especially times where most passengers were going to sporting events. They have been more off-peak and late night occurrences.
  17. Haha, I kind of kid about walking--probably green line for me as well--though I have made the walk to Fair Park from home before (about a mile and a half), which isn't too bad on a good weather day.
  18. It will be easy for me. I will just tailgate at home and walk to the game.
  19. I got my 4 already and am taking the three people with me who have most frequently occupied my second seat at games since 2006. Merry Christmas to them!
  20. Correct. It has been completed, but they are leaving it green except for special occasions (e.g., it was a candy cane during City Lights Opening Night).
