  1. And at least all those empty seats would be green.
  2. Do they take them all up during the off season?
  3. I guess I fall in the always optimistic bucket as well, but I fully expect more than 10,000 in green at the game and will be disappointed if the number of NT fans don't at least double the number of SMU fans there. Nothing will please me more than to see the SMU faithful sitting in their house the week after being dominated by Baylor, listing to the chants of NORTH. . . TEXAS echoing throughout University Park, and wondering if they will bother going to another game this year.
  4. Yeah, but you miss out on all the super cool tan lines from those "pizza oven games" that way.
  5. Me thinks the overhang from the club level will be a popular place for the 500 fans at the game to huddle together.
  6. Does the seating chart in the link still have the Sun Belt Conference logo on the court in the lanes?
  7. 35-10 with a heavy dose of Dajon in the second half following one successful drive with him in the first.
  8. Total superstition, homer, not based on any sense of reality prediction: This will be the first game I will not be able to watch this year live either on TV or in person, so I am going with NT 35, Rice 31. And with that, I won't be able to watch another game this year to allow a 5-game winning streak to finish the season.
  9. Ok, seriously, I am calling on everyone...everyone to come to the game tomorrow, let's fill the stands and cheer so loud S Miss can't hear! — Neal Smatresk (@UNTPrez) October 17, 2014
  10. Downtown ELP has made some strides in the past 5-10 years. There is a new minor league ballpark and some pretty good renovations and restorations going on down there.
  11. I stayed at the Camino Real downtown there for work about 5 years ago and really liked it.
  12. Too bad the helmets don't say "North Texas" on them so people would know what team that was. Well, at least it is in the caption.
  13. Hopefully part of what is happening with him right now is that he is realizing he has to own his life choices and will make the best of the opportunity he is now being given to prove that he can overcome the additional obstacles he put in his own path. If he succeeds, and with Mac and the rest of the staff in place to provide him with the proper guidance I have every reason to believe he will, then what an awesome story it will make. It is up to him, and only him, to do what he needs to do to find the proper balance between his family situation, school, and football. I really hope he strikes the right balance and succeeds in all of those areas.
  14. So, now if we could just get a cake that looks just like that helmet, we'd all be happy!
  15. . . . that is owned by MillerCoors. Now, get some Deep Ellum Brewing Co. beer, and I am all in!
  16. I had a really great time last year doing the same thing in Athens sitting with my brother-in-law Georgia alum. Standing up and yelling when Brelan returned that kick for a touchdown and watching everyone stare at me will always be an awesome memory for me. More on topic, I will be there +1 in Austin--sticking to the green section this time, though.
  17. The high in Denton on 9/6/2013 was 99. The average high for 9/6 is 89. Here's hoping for a high of 79 on 9/6/2014 to balance out the average!
