  1. Wow, I just may have a new favorite bowl scenario... K-State would bring a TON of fans to this game...BTW this was updated just tonight. http://www.sportingnews.com/ncaa-football/news/college-football-bowl-predictions-week-14-auburn-clemson-oklahoma-wisconsin-alabama-ohio-state/74aojjwfjgr61ue3lwvh12e2k
  2. I'm freaking giddy. This is Christmas Day 2.0, except it's adult-ier. I missed the 2014 Bowl because I opted for overtime at work. I'm attending this time in the middle of my fellow Mean Green fans and can't wait to take in my first-ever Bowl Game experience. While I've been to a couple of NCAA tournament games when they were in the area in the past, those are going to pale in comparison . . . mainly because I wasn't rooting for a school I attended at those. I look forward to possibly meeting some of you guys/gals there and having a blast as we watch our boys represent us proudly. I'm going to get chills just entering this historic complex and am going to hopefully shed some happy "sports tears" before all is said and done. Now, I'm off to bed to try and at least rest a bit before the big day. Let's do this!!! GMG
  3. Face Illinois at noon in HOD on ESPN. Would be a nice win for the conference.
  4. C-USA commissioner Britton Banowsky has confirmed what we had been hearing for a while, that the C-USA champion will get first pick among the conferences bowls. Now, thats if the conference champ isnt the Group of Five pick for the College Football Playoff access bowls, as a few pundits have picked Marshall to be this season. Now that C-USAs relationship with the Liberty Bowl is over, the conference is giving the champ its choice. Here are the contenders: Bahamas vs. Mid-American on Dec. 24 in Nassau, Bahamas Boca Raton vs. Mid-American on Dec. 23 in Boca Raton, Fla. New Mexico vs. Mountain West on Dec. 20 in Albuquerque, N.M. Heart of Dallas vs. Big Ten on Dec. 26 in Dallas, Texas Hawaii vs. Mountain West on Dec. 24 in Honolulu, Hi. 6. Re: “UNT joins the big boys with a bowl win in Dallas,” Saturday Hits and Misses. I agree with your view that there should have been a larger crowd at the Heart of Dallas Bowl, but I believe The Dallas Morning News is partly to blame. There was very little coverage leading up to the game so the average fan knew little about it. This is typical of The News’ policy of downplaying anything pertaining to the University of North Texas. read more: http://letterstotheeditorblog.dallasnews.com/2014/01/wheres-the-unt-coverage.html/
